REMOVE the module storage limit

Another day and instead of enjoying newly engineered ship I'm wasting time on buying another Viper to store existing modules, browsing a dozen of STORAGE SHIPS to find the powerplay module I need right now. For the love of God, FDev have mercy... I'm and "end game player" (really hate that phrase!) that have all ships, all powerplay items and top engineered stuff for different occasions, but due to this IRRATIONAL restriction time spent with Elite only gives raises my frustration levels. Really, I'd like to try different ship builds rather than flying CAST IN STONE META SHIPS over and over...

FDev why can't you lift the limit of module storage? And how many threads like this one need to be written again and again?

Hmm....

It was a joke, but a while back I posted something which (from the sound of it) might actually be a valid idea :D

QOL (Quality of Life ** ) Packages are now available for purchase :
  • 40 Bonus Module Storage (160 Total) = 16400 ARX
  • 80 Bonus Module Storage (200 Total) = 21800 ARX
  • 120 Bonus Module Storage (240 Total) = 27540 ARX
  • Premium Storage Pack : 120 Bonus Module Storage + 25 additional Ship storage slots = 37990 ARX
** In line with our current Store philosophy, these items do not provide any direct advantage in terms of Gameplay but instead aim to provide additional convenience Options to our Consumers.

...you be the judge ;)

Please for the love of all things Elite .... don’t give people these ideas.
Increasing garage space shouldn’t cost real money. We have paid for the game after all.

I keep most of my engineered modules on my ships... Then when I want to swap, I don't have to mess about with outfitting them again.

There are solutions to module storage limits
Like mule ships. I have about 7-8 of them

Tho i do hope that along with Carriers an increase in module storage limits will happen somehow

I suppose the issue is that FD don't really want us to have absolutely tons of modules all over the place, they've upped the limit before and may do again but I suspect some limit is reasonable if only to keep organisation not mad and amounts of data being shuffled around reasonable. Neither of those concerns are unadressable but still, some limit is easier than none or crazy big.

You could argue that all this space being used up is a bit unreasonable in game, I totally don't have free garage space to dump stuff in every town so why here? Quality of life, important but not the only thing.

Perhaps there could be an in game charge over a certain space usage. Either one off, if you can't pay you can't store, or ongoing, if you can't pay modules become inaccessible rather than lost.

Anyway, after all that, perhaps a bit more room? :D

Unlimited storage = monthly $9.95 or 10000 Arx. Subscribe for a yearly unlimited storage for $100.
Or even better: Lifetime Storage Expansion (LSE) for $200.
Available at the store now.

It is on a regular rotation. Together with Open Only PowerPlay, Off ship cargo storage, the Return of the ADS, and finally extra benefits to play in Open. I don't know who the scheduler is but they do keep very tight control on when each subject is posted so there won't be two live at the same time.
Ah... Thanks :D

I guess I'm glad to just equip my ships and use them, although I do have some pack hounds and prismatics stored which brought me up to 78 😱

Going by some of the responses already, FD should just admit defeat and make the storage limit infinite. Why, because whatever limit FD do set, some player will reach it through whatever means possible, and jump on here complaining that life isn't fair. So just make it that you can hold as many damn modules as you like, go for it, honestly who will care. Of course the down side is then the same people will complain that they can't manage that amount of modules and FD has to create a special way that these players can find a specific module in the 1,000's they now hold cos this mess is all FD's fault.

Or maybe, just maybe its an issue that many would love to see addressed.
In a game with a ten year roll out many players have multiple thousands of hours in game and a full suite of ships built for a variety of different purposes.
To have selection of alt loadouts or ancillary equipment available takes up a lot of space.
I cant see anything wrong at all to asking for more space for this.
Sqeaky wheels get the grease, hence the repetition.
Hopefully player bases might solve this.

So what is your solution to this game breaking problem, what should the limit be set at?
