Can someone explain me what Im doing wrong?

First I get kicked because I posted videos about cheating
Now my ticket is rejected
For me it's just pathetic, however much frontier paper over the cracks, the problem will persist.

As much as I love fleet carriers and new shiny things, their attention to issues is atrocious. Its damn pathetic and absolutely abysmal to NOT fix obvious bugs that have been reported numerous times over and over again. I've seen 1 man indie devs, that cranked out fixes in their early access products more than Fdev. And to allocate staff and prioritize on the new and not fixing the current is inexcusable. This bait and switch of a full release title is a slap to me and my wife's face, having dished out AAA price tags from our wallets.

I can certainly empathise. However there may be good reason why some things remain broken, in some cases even though they initially worked. So having long standing bugs in a game may be understandable, if it were to be explained with progress updates.

Also, I play a lot & fairly regularly think I notice tweaks to the AI, to mission templates, just lots of little things, so work is being done, it just once again isn't communicated very well.

The posts Cmdr. H. F. Sphaerites is submitting to this thread is just the kind of thing I'd like Frontier to provide, a brief summary of the bugs that were fixed and progress of some more popular (highly voted or whatever) issues would be both easy to produce & would probably go a long way towards placating those players frustrated with their particular issue of choice.

I'm not personally concerned about bugs, because I can see some progress is regularly made to improve the game both by playing and this thread.

I agree communication would alleviate most frustrations as it would squash the possibility of what seems to me, outright ignoring them. A simple verbal acknowledgement on the issue tracker every now and then would provide optimistic security. Some players have entirely given up on it, as the tracker itself is a complete step backwards.

What really worries me and this has happened with every single major update is the amount of new bugs that come with it after it launches. And when the carrier content drops it is a 100% guarantee that there will be some major breaks in the game. And of course the evergrowing sum of more bugs piled ontop a history of previous bugs.

What bothers me most out of everything, is stuff that worked, that is now broke, and that still remain broken months after. This justifiably makes Elite Dangerous an Early Access game, a testing environment without any sort of verbal progressive fixing nor statement on the issue. This is not what I paid for.

2300+ reports and growing, Id say that bubble has popped, even at a 50% duplicate rate or player side issue, that is still 1,150 possible valid issues. They cannot perform confirmations fast enough with that magnitude of reports and they have absolutely no clue how to fix it due to the overwhelming continually growing sum created by Fdev's inept attitude to hunker down and do something about it. This is my speculative opinion of course. I am by no means stating facts. Its just what I firmly believe. Since there silence has left my thoughts glass half empty.

I've said it a few times since early 2018. I strongly believe FD are prisoners of their own code. The word spaghetti is used on several occations, not just by me. Beautiful and glorious as this game is, the bugs are slowly (rapidly) eating this game up. And as said, FD will really struggle to keep up with the current and new bugs. Not even mentioning the half-implemented and unfinished features...
And since FD's policy is, and always has been, "silence is golden", we won't really know what really goes on behind the curtain.

If I had a saying in the development, I'd make them spend the next X months polishing the game and make sure 99% of the bugs are removed. Obviously after the carrier update, so they can clean that guaranteed mess aswell.
Right, enough doomsaying for today 😄

Am I the only one who’s had every ticket I’ve submitted get ignored? Massacre missions not counting legit kills, not getting paid for killing Basilisks, wild and oddball bugs that haven’t been fixed. I left one ticket sitting there for over a month, and it was still sitting on “confirming.” I resubmitted tickets, I even got ed and @ a dev on Discord. They just brushed me off. what is happening?

I'm not defending fdev here but they only seem to do bug fixes as part of a release, they don't do a monthly patch release. The upshot is that they have already selected the bugs they're going to fix in the September patch, so they're probably not even looking at the issue tracker right now. They will after the main release is live and there will probably be a flurry of bug fixes in the three or four point releases that come after.

However, if the bug or issue is not a complete CTD, it does seem that it doesn't get much attention. It more efficient for the company to do the release only bug fixes strategy because of all the branching and merging that would be required to create a monthly release would actually slow the rate of which bugs are fixed (believe it or not)). We'll just have to see what's crossed off the list next week.

Unless it's litterally gamebreaking they don't fix it before the next major patch, even if that is in 6-12 months. And even then, only a fraction of the most important bugs gets fixed, and ofcourse a bucketload more gets introduced, on top of the old allready fixed bugs gets reintroduced.

It'd be nice if you could filter the search results by platform.
It would be nice if the filter was consistent. Now you havce to redo it if you go back a page. And the search function in itself is so bad they could really just remove it

Ok that does make a lot of sense, especially since the Sept. patch is pretty close. But in particular I'd really like to get paid for this basilisk kill that I did in multi crew, because the other CMDR (a friend of mine) needs the money we earned for rebuy.

Off topic but how did you kill a Basilisk in multi-crew? Was your co-pilot able to target the hearts ? The problem with flying with gunners, is that they can't target the hearts!

The issue tracker does not work for me at all. You could get the impression that is from the beginning so wanted. so there are not all the "unnecessary discussions" in the forum. "Something is rotten in the state of Denmark (FD)." [Hamlet] 💩
