Rescue CG: Curious and Interested

So I just heard this is a thing, and am curious:

Is this the sort of thing a Salvage Asp/Cobra III would suffice for? I've been known to use the latter, drop into Salvage USS and fire off limpets to collect Black Boxes just quick enough to escape pirate ambushes. It's something I enjoy from time to time.

Is this CG similar, except with occasional aliens? Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

Yes. It was cool and people have done it in Cobras like you described it, there were also destroyed mega-ships where it was even easier. But it's over :D

Yep, this party is over.

I went in a specially outfitted S&R Orca.

And helped to kill a Thargoid in it too.

I'd like to kill a few more, but... it's kind of exhausting, and I've gotten a little bit tired of their dinosaur sounds.
