Resources Disappearing

(As a new player, I am experiencing a few annoyances) THIS is one of them out of a hand full.....
When I am on a SRV on a planet and find resources like Iron, Carbon etc etc etc.It tends to disappear after I first shoot the big rock and all the resources come flying out.
I look at the Contacts list and see 7 resource objects and then only 3 remain. it happens all the time and its very frustrating.
When they hit the floor poof they are gone.
Also they disappear when I am in the middle of picking them up. There are 4 resource objects on the floor,
and as I am picking them up the others around the floor tend to disappear. No I am not taking my sweet time or taking longer than suppose to
within 2 minutes I try to pick them up as fast as I can, because I don't know if I am on a timer.

They all have hp, that hp can be reduced by things like impact with your vehicle or the ground. It also ticks down over time. If it reaches 0 they disappear.

Make sure you dont touch the resources on the ground with the SRV wheels.
Odyssey has bugged collisions (still) and when you touch the materials with the SRV wheels, they tend to shoot down, into the ground, at very high speed so they appear as vanishing. Sometimes they will also throw your SRV in the air, tumbling

open your left panel and under 'contacts' you will see the nuggets listed. pick the ones you find most desirable, then collect. Because you are absolutely right, just touching something effectively destroys it if it isn't your target... ><

But the others disappear on me. This is frustrating. As a new player in the game, I find myself cursing at the screen and say... (Why? but Why?)
or the famous ("what!? as I yell at the screen.) then I rush over to Google and search and search and search for some type of solution.
SMH. I find myself spending more time in Google than I do in game. just saying....

Its bad enough all these problems are happening. I cant log into the game without using a VPN,
but now as of today started like 1 hour ago, I am constantly getting crashes with a (Mauve Adder) error code.
Had to google that one. So now its also becoming impossible to connect via VPN. and completely blockled on regular connection without VPN.

And I am STILL waiting for a response from the developers. SMH.

It can be a bit frustrating when the most desirable elements are also the most fragile! But that does mean that as long as you can get those first, the common ones tend to still be around when you get to them. Why do you have to use a VPN?

So someone suggested for me to try to log in via VPN. It worked until an hour or so ago when the game started to kick me out.
I was in the middle of scanning a planet when the game kicked me out. It has done that now 5 times so far. within a 1 hour span.
So now it seems I cant play the game via ISP connection or using VPN. And I sent the developers information about it.
Still waiting to hear back.

One would think that this would be the last thing a gaming company wants to happen to a Brand New player of the game.
I am sure I am not the only one. Maybe most people experiencing the same just dont report it and just stop playing and move on to another game.
Who knows. I can say this though, its extremely frustrating.

Are you on a home connection? Are you in a country that has some kind of "great firewall"? I've never had to use a VPN and I can't think of a reason why that would be needed. Where does the VPN terminate?

Its a home connection in the USA. The VPN terminates on the East Coast of the USA.

That's so weird! And you can't connect at all without the VPN? I wonder if you are the only one or are there large areas of the USA that can't connect?
