Modes Restrict or remove PvE from the game, making Open a nicer place

That sounds good Stitch but it's not the impression I am getting, the vast, vast majority of the time when noob killers post videos or announce they are leaving the game the replies from many known PVP players are 'hilarious emergent content' and 'so sorry to see another one go'.

If in fact some of you guys are hunting and berating these guys I'd like to know where I could see such dialogue and discussion because it certainly isn't on these boards or the good number of subreddits I'm aware of.

Thats because most people around here spend more time on the forums than playing the game.

Take me for example. When I am not PVPing against other PVPers. I hunt "the bad guys" in the game. I try to play the good guy as much as possible. And I still catch crap for it.

Everyone focuses on the salt. When there are things like,

I'm not saying it doesn't happen but I am saying that the message is very different on these boards and others, trust me, I am 'out there' in terms of trying to keep myself informed but a few YouTube video hardly disproves my point.

At the end of the day, it's any murderers choice and right to do what they do. What is lacking is even a semblance of balance of choice and consequence, or of risk and reward. A terrorist organisation should have every ability to exact change on the galaxy around them; however it should not be easy to do so.

I agree. I'm not a big fan of griefers or gankers, but I do believe they should be allowed in the game. To make it fair and balanced, the C&P must be in place. Right now, it's quite cheap to be a griefer, while it's quite costly for the victim. Secondly, the Open menu choice should have a warning label like "Warning: Open allows griefing, you can lose your ships and credits, at your own risk." Or something like that, because I know personally that I had no clue being a rookie what the rules were for Open. When you're used to highly secure games, ED:Open was a bit of a shocker. I never played EVE or any other multiplayer games (tend to not like them because of the impromptu socializing), so it took some time before understanding what was going on.

Well you have to admit looking through all the SOG forums and the countless "open only threads" and trollish threads like this one that it is a rather accurate assessment.

I can promise you there are more youtube videos about legit PVP, Than there is about Salt. Literally salt videos are made to make fun of people. I made one. It was pretty dang funny. And light hearted even calling myself an Ahole.

Im not going to post all the videos, that would be waaay too much. Cmon now. Stop selling this stuff short. Its not as bad as people think it is.

At the same time, I love the fact we have bad guys. And I will fight for the bad guys to be here.

After all thats all we got since, you know, any objective wise can be taken in solo and private.

So good guys and bad guys it is.

Want that kind of stuff to go away? Give PVP incentive and make part of the game restricted to Open like Powerplay and Player factions. There will still be salt videos sure. There will still be dunk videos sure. But those are in every multiplayer game. We would just be seeing it in the PVP related parts of the game more. Instead of it just happening in random spots.

GIVE PEOPLE SOMETHING TO FIGHT FOR, Objectives that cannot be taken in solo and private. And Everyone wins. Including the solo and private dudes. They dont want to PVP anyways right? They are removing themselves from the mode where PVP can happen right?

So whats the big deal?

Again, actually get out there and get involved. Dont just look at youtube videos. Go fight for something.

Fine, so where are the 'good riddance' posts from the PVP community when said seal clubbers leave? They are nowhere, it's all 'emergent greatness' and 'so sad you're leaving'. Here's the thing, a lot more obvious contradiction to the seal clubbers would go a long way, it would build bridges, PVP players doing what they do is hardly newsworthy, killing each other, where is the condemnation/criticism?, look at the thread in this sub when ZN, a noted seal clubber, announced he hadn't played for a month - it's all love you and kisses and zero 'good riddance'.

I paid for 100% of the content, I expect 100% of the content, regardless of what you or anyone else thinks.
I didn't pay to be your content, you are not paying me to be your content - so I'm not going to be.

All content made by Frontier is available to all players - because that is what we paid for.
Who I enjoy that content with is up to me, not you.

You want PvP only content, play a PvP game.
World of Warships is a great game, you should try it.

How much time do you have in the game, You can stomp them easy. Go hang out at Eravate or an Engineer system and protect it. People pirate and gank at those places all the time.

Why do you think I have been advocating for PVP in Open only for certain aspects of the game. It will solve multiple problems.

I will be polluting Open, there are more than enough targets, maybe FDEV will wake up and create real multiplayer content for the skilled and not for the grindiests.
