Modes Reworking the game modes

so true,
pure human behavior. Pure jealousy with combination of stubbornness. Caring to much for things they not play.

Because when they increasing benefits in OPEN. Wave of hate stand up, crucify all programmers, devs and players on this forum who are responsible for that.

What nonsense.

Most of the people supporting the mode system, play in all modes. So it has nothing to do with "hate" or "jealousy".
We bought a game with freedom of choice. We expect to keep it that way.

People using solo mode to hide from responsibility or high threat when they like (even some people admit it here). Changing modes when they like and have the same money, ships. Its pure jealousy to vote against for example higher reward in open.

.... or an agreement with Frontier's decision not to introduce a reward disparity between the game modes.

Plus the fact that, as direct PvP is entirely optional and that any player can choose to play in any game mode at any time for any reason, every player has access to all of the modes - which rather negates any perceived need for a bonus for simply clicking on one particular game mode.

No one is hiding, we are playing how Frontier told us to play.

The only "jealousy" here is from you, because you don't like us having fun how Frontier told us to have fun.

Why did you buy a PvE game expecting PvP ?

Deja Vu . Oh not this discussion again. I know what Frontier did, no i dont buy PvE game and expect PvP.

I just say people are against something but even dont play it or use it wrong way. Sorry but again, vote against OPEN mode changes because "its PvE" game is stupidly jealousy...

then vote to remove whole OPEN mode because you know, its multiplayer and you know, you maybe meet other player, scary right?

Assuming you're "correct" here... what exactly would they be "jealous" of?

Who, other than Frontier, is in a position to determine whether any players "use it wrong way"?

He is correct lol.

However I use all the game modes too. Because they are available.

What people are asking for is some parts of the game to be non optional for PVP. Especially when people are pvevpbbqing.

I was promised PVP when I bought the game around powerplay. Or hunt other commanders was right up front.

I got the game, and found out when you kill someone in game you get that IRL DLC. Instead of PVP having a meaning with powerplay and player factions.

Nothing wrong with the modes, no one is really contesting that. Its just certain things that happen within them.

PVPers want what was advertised. I know I do.

If players are seeking what is advertised then they'd be well served by reading all of the advertising information rather than simply a few selected portions and making assumptions.

you think changing modes as you like is intended? For example when you hold rare cargo, change to solo and fly safe?
Many players including me exploit this game mode changing (board hoping etc etc), and don't try convincing me its not true.

jealous to players earning more in open.

Solo discrimination, frontier forces us to play OPEN, kick-starter promises, nobody play PvP, etc etc ....

Actually the basis is much simpler than that-

An environment isn't "fenced off" that allows people to enjoy their own style of game play without being harassed by others.

Now, given said example... PvP players got exactly what they wanted already.

PvE players got the short end of this stick with restrictions on player limits and no PvP/PvE controls with PG's.

So why should Open players get "more", again?

Kind of like how you have to go find some obscure post about Elite Dangerous. Only to find out Elite Dangerous applies to rank. And Elite really wasnt supposed to be Dangerous eh? Just a happy go lucky hold your friends hand in space adventure? A game where they give people griefer modules like grom missiles and scramble spectrum where people have a hard time getting away.

Seems perfectly acceptable to me /s

WHY should I get a bonus for nothing.
Why must you Insist on easy benifits???
again, why you think its bonus for nothing? When you play solo, you shouldnt care. When you play open its normal reward for you. Easy benefits would be when you start changing modes for purpose.

Yes, I do - because that's how Frontier described it at the very beginning (last paragraph):

How does multiplayer work?

You simply play the game, and depending on your configuration (your choice) some of the other ships you meet as you travel around are real players as opposed to computer-controlled ships. It may be a friend you have agreed to rendezvous with here, or it may be another real player you have encountered by chance. All players will be part of a “Pilot’s Federation” – that is how they are distinguished from non-players – so you will be able to tell who is a player and who is a non-player easily.
You will be able to save your position in certain key places (probably just in space stations, but possibly while in hyperspace too, if we feel it is needed). A save-and-quit option will be freely available at those points, as will the subsequent reload, but there will be a game cost for a reload following player death. Your ship will still be intact in the condition it was when the save occurred, but there will be a game currency charge (referred to as an insurance policy) for this. This is to prevent the obvious exploit of friends cooperating and killing each other to get each other’s cargo. If you can’t pay, then it will accumulate as an in-game debt, and the police may chase you!
There are no multiplayer lobbies, and the game will be played across many servers, augmented by peer-to-peer traffic for fast responses. Session creation and destruction happens during the long-range hyperspace countdown and hyperspace effect (which is a few seconds only), so is transparent to the player.
We have the concept of “groups”. They can be private groups just of your friends or open groups (that form part of the game) based on the play styles people prefer, and the rules in each can be different. Players will begin in the group “All” but can change groups at will, though it will be possible to be banned from groups due to antisocial behaviour, and you will only meet others in that group.

Nothing obscure about plain English....

Because some of us do play in Open, and know that 99% of the time, we’ll never even face opposition by other players? And even when we do, the opposition we do face is is rather pathetic, content wise.

Players don’t play in Open because of fear or some nebulous benefit. They play in other modes because the bottom feeders of the PvP community are simply not fun to play with, and have voted with their feet.
