Hi midimaxi, it seems you tried lot of things like me and lot of other ones. Don't bother trying another Rift HMD, I bet all Rift are impacted. It don't come from us. Not all games/apps are impacted so it's something from Oculus and/or FD.

If you have a rift and have turned the gamma down then I found that this caused banding. Turn it back up (>75%) and it helps a lot for me.
Your links are broken or at least for me they are page not found.
I haven't read all the posts here, so I don't know if anyone's already suggested this. The OP's 1st problem sounds familiar, I noticed that my rift was losing color once in a while, everything just looked faded. I discovered it was because of where the rift camera was, on my coffee table. Every time I put y feet on the coffee table, it blocked the view from the camera, and that was causing the colors to fade on the rift. it was very strange, because the rift continued to work normally, just the colors got very faded. I tested it out many times and this is definitely what was causing mine to fade, if you block the view with anything, it will cause this to happen.

The color barring, I can't really say for sure, but maybe playing with the gamma will solve something.
the 3rd thing I can't help you with at all.
Well this is ominous. The link I posted is indeed broken "page not found" Seems that my attempt to get everyone complaining in the same place is being thwarted or am I just being conspiratorial? Perhaps CMDR Vanguard would be so kind as to weigh in on his own forum, HERE.
I flew into Maia and landed on a planet close to the star 2 days ago and parked. The colors were brilliant and the banding was not noticeable. I started the game today where I left my ship and it was so ugly I just shut it down. I got my Rift in June and since then we have gotten pixel density controls, ATW and ASW and things were getting better with each new runtime and firmware release. Then about runtime 1.08 things started backward. Today this is unplayable. I can still enjoy DCS, IRacing and Assetto Corsa so all is not lost, but the game I played the majority of the time is pooched. I will not play ED again until this is resolved and if Oculus doesn't get it done there will be no more money from me to them. I won't buy software on Home, I won't buy Touch, I won't buy a CV2 (if that ever arrives) given my experience with Oculus support alone, I can't recommend anyone buy a Rift at this time. Sad

Hello,
I'm also getting the same color banding issue. It's really game breaking for me because it completely kill any sense of presence. It was doing it a bit before but no where this intense. Now the whole "space" is just a complete color mess. It feels like my Rift is only showing 256 color and it's ugly af. I've also notice that the colors in general are all washed out, like I have to play with Gamma 0 otherwise everything is way to bright.
Here's an example of what I'm seeing, it's really bad --> http://i.imgur.com/kpjsTks.jpg
