You have to admit, it is fairly amusing to watch the panic ensue.

imo its important that FD can show us they have systems in place to ID people who have exploited glitches and also people who have gotten done over by bugs WITHOUT doing a rollback (at least without doing one for all)Obviously those that earned dozens of millions on the cargo hold glitch will cry against rollback.
Those that lost millions on disappearing upgrades will want a fix.
Personally I don't think Frontier will ever make a rollback.
If they dont roll back there will be MORE unsatisfied customers.
If they dont roll back there will be MORE unsatisfied customers.
Personally, I suspect that those requesting a rollback are those that joined at release, and are jealous of those that played since the beginning of Gamma and are jealous that they don't have as much as others.
If they do do a rollback now, what will happen in a month, after new people have joined, and see players from a month earlier having more than they do, and start demanding a rollback? Will FD have to do a rollback every 20-30 days, just to keep the new players happy? That's utterly ludicrous and unreasonable.
It looks like you don't know what a "rollback" means. You're talking of a "wipe" which no one is suggesting.
Rollback - the database is restored to an earlier state. For example before a certain bug occured.
Wipe - everyone starts over.
I'm not in favor of either of them. Moreover, I believe it's too late for a rollback to be done already. Losing 1 hour of progress is one thing, but losing 2 days or more is completely different.
However, the massive amounts of cash that were spawned should be dealt with in some way. Implying that it's totally not a problem is utterly ludicrous and unreasonable.
Its possible that only certain regions were affected, right? Lets say I live in California and play on the "West US" server. If the only servers crapping out are in, lets say Southern England, then only reset those servers that are screwing up.
It's possible that everyone on a single specific server is having these issues, and no one else is.
