Route plotting failed message

Hey! im a new CMDR from the epic games store. i've been playing like 30-40h.
My case is based on this error, everytime i try to plot a route the game doesn't want to do it and gives me the message of "Route plotting failed".

My ship exploded before that and i spawned on SPF-LF 1. I have an ASP Explorer and the nearest jump are 3 light years, so close for an ASP Explorer. This forums doesnt have my answer so thats why im writting this thread.
Also i've checked if i have all the needed modules to jump and yes.

I've tried restarting the game and it doesnt work.

Also the FDD works fine jumping to nowere.

Sry for my english im from spain and thats difficult to me.

Depending where you are and where you are trying to get to, it's possible that you are trying to go through a permit locked area of systems. Put your mouse / cursor over some of the en-route systems and see whether that's the case.

The other reason is that the route you are trying to plot does in fact need to make a jump, or some jumps that are beyond the range of your FSD. Try plotting the route in shorter segments to see where the problem lies. Also worth noting that the maximum route plotting range is finite, can't remember exactly, but I think 2,000 Ly. Ages since I've done much route plotting... :)

SPF-LF 1 is a detention centre next to Sol, so I guess you've been naughty. And probably fitted a dumb small fsd.

1. Find out your jump range either on the Galmap or in the right panel under Ship, or in outfitting.
2. Research how to get a greater jump range (Google)

To get out
1. If you have another ship you might be able to use that to escape - call it to your location
2. Or else self destruct and take the option of a starter sidewinder. You'll lose your ship, but maybe that will encourage you to not gimp your jump range
3. Or ask support to move you. They may refuse, but probably won't unless you do this a lot.

Frameshift drives generally are always A rated for maximum range.
Some carrier based combat ships I have use D rated ones but that's for another time.
Limp back to a station and buy a A rated biggest frameshift drive you can fit.

He's in a detention system they only sell sidewinders and haulers

I had a noob come out and meet me in the black today. Took him 3 hours to get here just jump honk scoop etc using neutrons as n when. He arrived at the carrier a few hours ago and is happy as Larry.
Point is he read a few things googled alot and sorted out his mouse n keyboard.
Talk about getting the explorer bug hehe good luck to him
To Op i suggest you read up on stuff. Mining exploration combat piracy smuggling wotever...that he read up on what he wants to do...check the dates too cos alot of out of date info.
Unfortunate start. Not alone either methinks

im only 3ly distance from the nearest jump, my ship can do this jumps so easly and i cant. I have a cobra mkIII but its in Nona, quite far away.

Screenshots, please.

First one should be from the "route plotting failed" screen (i.e. probably the galmap)

Nothing to see - if you tried uploading directly to the forum, please try to upload to an image server (like imgur) and linking here. Forum has some strict upload restrictions.

That at least excludes a few possibilties.

First thing in this case I'd do is to quit and restart the game, just in case it's one of those transitional bugs.
Next after that would be to actually check (outfitter menu if docked, ship module tab on the right hand side menu in the cockpit) which FSD (size and class) you have fitted in your ship. If, for whatever reason, you find that you have a size 3 or size 2 FSD fitted, get a Sidey or Hauler from the prison facility, jump to where you want to go and have your Asp delivered.

i only have 300 CR i cant buy anything

OP, are you able to jump to supercruise? Perhaps for whatever reason you FSD module got turned off. Check in your module tab of your right side panel and make sure this isn't the case.
