Elite Dangerous Commanders I have encountered my first aliens. They scanned me then went back to scavenging wreckage taking escape pods and Thargoid materials leaving everything else. I believe they are studying us as well as we are studying them. I also believe that as they currently don’t kill us outright; they scan us, then continue what they were doing. They don’t consider us a threat but more of a nuisance like we would look at a fly that we would kill only when it bites or flys around us not leaving us alone. I fully support this project mercury I been hearing about and believe wholeheartedly that we must communicate and prove that we are not a bug for swatting. We are humans and hello! But I teach for a living and not only communication but interpersonal communication is need as well. Whether dealing with animals or humans if you say something and your body language and actions don’t back it up no-one or thing will believe your sincerity, people won’t trust and animals will bite (fight or flight response). I believe we should get guns ready, big ones because while some of us try peace and communication first and at the same time other commanders go out and shoot at them it sends two signals which makes our friendly approach not believable. For this reason no matter what I believe war is not avoidable. But if everyone stops the violence and sends one signal then I believe we would have a chance. Unfortunately, we have free will and people like to shoot things. Get ready for war get ready to run.
