You're not one of those nasty lurking space pirates in disguise are you? :D

I'm not near, but not far in overall terms. Still about 15k ly out. :/

Greetings fellow Commanders,

I reached Sagittarius A* last night after leaving on April 5th. I got distracted on the way by nifty earth-likes and terraformables. Below are a couple of my screenshots from my visit. Alas, I was not courageous enough to get as close as I could. I jumped in, turned around, took selfies, scanned Source 2, then jumped out toward my next destination. The plot lag is quite real in the core. As a bonus, just a couple jumps away I found a world I want to name Costner's World. Please enjoy.

Safe travels Commanders!

I just noticed that it kind of looks like Sagittarius A* has two eyes looking at me...

Is that now one eye just eyeing my backside?

Finally get my ASP kitted out for exploration : http://www.edshipyard.com/#/L=60g,0Wg0Wg0Wg,2-4s8S7_6u6u8S8I,52W7Re0Ke0Ke0Ke2UI2jw
I've taken heat sink and maintenance unit just in case, for such a long trip I've got no idea what I might encounter ^^

Setting sail soon, for a long long road, and it might be really long because I want to do it with economical route.
But I will probably get back to fastest route after some time, almost 200 jumps for doing 1000LY is going to be painfull.
But you only need to fuel scoop at destination (1000LY with a full tank :D) and I will get by more systems and more chance to find something interesting maybe.

So now, need to buy food, drinks, put some music and... godspeed

Estimated time of departure : this weekend
Estimated time of arrival : unknown ^^

Hope I will make it to Sagittarius, and get back alive after that.

I'm about 15k ly in to my journey and I've got 11.1k ly to go. The stars are getting denser, but they sure are getting prettier. I had intended on going out to the far rim, but I think I'll head home and equip my ship better before I do that.

This takes a long time, I can see why many people haven't done it or are turned off by the idea.

Made it last night! Include Diffeltop in this post too, since we did it as a wing.

Only 4k ly out now...it is taking absolutely ages to calculate routes now...must get faster PC. A six core CPU just aint enough anymore.

I just jumped black hole to black hole on the way in. Only way i could make it. Getting out is worse!

Four days out from Shinrarta Dezhra, 11KLY covered, ship (Monty the Python) holding up well.

Hope to make it in over the weekend if I can get the computer time.

Well I've made it. Four days worth of space driving, but I got there. The last 1-2k ly was a pain to navigate. I imagine I will have the same problems getting back out. But the journey home starts tomorrow after bed. Just hope I make it in one piece.

Now, time to park the ship overnight a sector away.

I just returned from my Sag A* trip. On my route back I dropped down 1000ly below the plane and hit a huge band of neutron stars. I spent a few happy hours scanning and mapping neutron stars. My total "earth like worlds" was 27, with a smattering of ammonia worlds and a bunch of water worlds. I made it home with 94% hull and most of my systems at 100% (repair units rock!) I was out a total of 4 calendar-weeks, so I missed a few updates and some nice community goals. It's taken me over an hour to sell my cartographic data, even doing it a page at a time. I racked up 48,465,887 credits. Those neutron stars are worth a bunch. But mostly, I got the satisfaction of micturating on lots of systems.

There are basically no NPCs at the fringes of human space. I blasted straight in for Facece and nobody tried to interdict me at all; it was nice to see green friendly Imperial system security basking in His Glory!

I'm off to Nu, now to see if I can get a good deal on an imperial clipper as a reward to myself for an exciting and eventful trip!

Congrats to the newest members of the Sag A club!

I got back from a neutron star hunt yesterday and had the same trouble-free journey back (the last 650ly as skim/scoop/jump, and repeat) and a nice "Greetings, respected ally" message on requesting docking permission.

Long live the Emperor!
