Say goodbye to Anarchies

I think the main system they all want to take from me is No Cha, I disabled the material trader there..
they can do what they want with it now.
my carriers are still there as my tombstones. but not me.
Its a real shame cause wow was that system profitable and another thing a lot of folks don't know is that Proto mats and lots of HGE's seem to follow anarchy factions around., No Cha is great for that too.

Yeah, I'm not going to bother playing the BGS until they do something.

Piracy dead, anarchy factions dead, criminal missions all but non-existent and near-universally worse than their legal equivalents.

It's almost like they want ganking to be the only remotely adversarial thing left to do.

fwiw, I came in here to help with knowledge and experience that I have.
Not to argue or have conversations with anyone that already knows everything there is to know about anarchies.
I know that most of what I know about anarchists is not written anywhere.
I have made many friends in the game too by sharing with them.
So. if you say its broken. that ok too.

crime and anarchy are not the same thing
and oddly, the most profitable anarchy things are not criminal.

and not that it matters. although I would rather have been helpful, only one person so far has asked something useful for his faction.

some of the anarchists are in no cha right now...maybe they are going to help tear it apart, or keep it going..

I was hoping to see that someone was serious and actually wanted to know how to get bounties for anarchy factions.
Seems I was wrong once again.

[slightly patronizing wall of text]
I hope you all remember what the cure was, its the same again. But it wont stop until they separate OD from Horizons.
That ain't the cure and won't happen anyway. It's one of the causes. Players not willing or able to buy Odyssee and those on console are playing half a game now. Like going into a duel blindfolded.

This also ain't about us being fools who don't know how to gather bounties by using every trick in the book. The difference is that every rookie can farm a res site in no time with minimal skill and unengineered ships. Doing it the hard way takes skill, experience, BGS knowledge, good ships, the right missions & systems and last but not least a fair amount of luck.

We still managed in Horizons and it often was a fun challenge. Something changed with Odyssee and I think we've reached the tipping point where playing Sisyphos and pushing that rock up the hill over and over again has turned into a chore not worth doing anymore.

Obi, I know, and I never said anyone was a fool
You and many many over time keep saying what you said, no way to collect bounties.
was that true or is it just another title to attract?

Sadly that you start with an attack, it was actually you I wanted to help.

and your last bit there, is pretty much exactly why I have quit.

interesting atitude
I am 1 guy and I have been fending off the same as you for more than the past 2 years
I collect between 20 and 100 mil in bounties for each of my systems that needs it for my main faction(EMPIRE)
then I do similar for my actual pmf also empire
then I do the same and more because I want to for my anarchy faction.
and you with how many find this too hard to do because of randoms...
on top of that, there are always missions that actually do help stave off certain states. So sometimes you have to haul a lot too, also fun in a cutter that can kill

I get usually about 10-15 mil for my anarchy faction while having my 1st cup of coffee for the day
I don't even move. I sit in sc and they come to me. this warms me up for the rest of the fighting.
The challenge of keeping all this together and going into expansions with 3 factions is fun and what I really enjoy. and being surrounded more and more by more pmf's creates more entertainment.

But this destruction of the BGS by the devs has taken its toll, and enough is enough.

Please don't take this the wrong way Q GT70. I appreciate your input and was not attacking you. I just feel you miss the point by reminiscing about the "old days".

This is about the latest changes that might kill my passion for the BGS in the long run which makes me kinda sad. Ain't looking for help just venting a bit in the vain hope that FDev might listen and correct some of the mistakes they made and restore some balance to the game.

Well all I can say is the Communists better get ready.
Once Anarchy has tanked, their buffer will be gone and they will become the next closest thing to it as a target for many gameplay options.
I know that all my illegal goods will now be going to that big red highstreet they kindly built for us.

not really about the old days, man...I was 100% active still and doing 18 hour days up till servers went down for the update.
then on friday, my attempts to get their attention before they left for the weekend got me banned
then after 6 days of not being able to play in od or horizons on any of my computers in any of my accounts, I decided no more.
if you are not aware, I am cmdr Milesred , I was PEC/ECL/TDE aka the guy at the center of the nova war for almost 2 years. 1 year all by myself against them.
Peraesii is/was my home for over 7 years
And even though I can play now, I still cannot do anything with pp weapons, real nice. guns aren't important at all.
all those hammers and hounds, empty.
I even told them I can refill, if I exit horizons and enter od, insta auto-re-arm, cept heat-sinks.. on Thursday...many many times...
shooting is what I do to get everything else done.sooo..

Well anarchies are not very well known about being orderly coordinatedly lead governments. Typically irl anarchy is result of lack of any centralised coordinated power. And tends to be short lived situation.
The government type in Elite for anarchy has nothing to do with anarchist politics. It just means the faction doesn't care about galactic rules and as long as you don't shoot one of their own you can do whatever you want, if you do shoot one of their own they'll shoot you for it but not care outside that. Generally anarchy factions are mafia/criminal, but not always.

Frontier seems to not understand how anarchies are meant to work seeing as they don't follow any of their own rules in Odyssey and just perform like any other faction around settlements and any Odyssey introduced C&P - with the added bonus that every mission and faction wants to them.

Thanks Frontier, for making it even harder to maintain the already hardest faction out there. Unsurprisingly, San Tu is getting thrown down the well by this change as well. Added bonus that apparently surface CZs don't count towards war efforts, so I've basically wasted the last two days of fighting thinking Odyssey content was actually relevant to doing anything productive.

as most systems have a native anarchy faction, that won't be necessary.

anarchies will still be around as mission targets.

at 1%, lockdown or civil unrest...

it kills variety of the game.
