SDC Operation spicy-bois featured on kotaku and eurogamer

SDC was recognized by outside sources for what they did and now FD and the white knight patrol are rushing to cover the fact FD got a black eye in this for their incompetence in balancing what they were told was bad months ago until SDC forced their hand.

At what point are they going to stop claiming the credit for this? they have been called out so many times and they are sticking with the same story!!!

The most interesting thing about all this is ... why Spicybois? Just think of that word, what image does it bring to mind?

I'm thinking buffed up men dancing on a stage performing a strip tease.

Or Thailand.

Not sure which.

I may be late to the party but when I hear Spicybois and Thailand I think: that's not a bar I want to go into.

To steal a quote from a song on the Chess album:
One night in Bangkok and the world's your oyster
The bars are temples but the pearls ain't free
You'll find a god in every golden cloister
And if you're lucky then the god's a she
I can feel an angel sliding up to me

Actually your facts are incorrect. The nerf came after the spicy bois action as it was introduced in the beta weeks after the start of spicy bois. The last one going in to update 4 today that brought it almost to exactly what SDC had been saying all along needed to be done to fix it.

Also about the combat logging from Sandro Sammarcos post in Jan. 2015

So where am I putting words in their mouths? Maybe at some point means year 8 or 9 of the 10 year plan?

You fail to recognize that two nerfs had already hit concerning the Heat issue, by the time SDC mentioned it's tantrum. And that FD said more was to come almost as the first response to your reddit post. I don;t expect a self absorbed set of players to concede these points. It would shatter your self worth.

As to the quote from Sandro, it's exactly what I said. They would be looking at ways to capture Combat Logs. That's what he said above. I then went on to mention that even if FD found players CL'ing and moved to correct them, we would never hear from FD on the matter. They just don;t release that kind of information. So, once again SDC is misleading the readers here.

We had internal discussions with frontiers prior to the changes they made all the way back to week 1 of 2.1. We knew heat was going to be the new meta in the first 24 hours of 2.1 update 1 beta.

None of you are aware of our direct line with frontiers. At the end of the day our haters will never believe what we say.

Whether or not you choose to believe our propaganda, we had an impact on the changes made to the heat meta. I know it's a hard pill to swallow for the ego but at the end of the day, it was all about improving the state of pvp.

If you (SDC) assisted FD in improving the game by cooperating. All credit to you guys. You helped FD improve the game. That effort is appreciated.

However, this thread specifically is about Spicyboys. Which was a non show.

Tell me honestly, which do you think was most beneficial to the game? Spicyboys or cooperation with FD.

And this comes as a surprise to you?

Not at all, i'm just making an obvious observation. I tend to avoid responding to these people. I'd rather leave them in their own bubble.

It's a delicious feeling to read the saltyness in some of the comments. You have no idea.

And that there is why nobody listens to, or believes you. Causality.

I beg to differ, clearly people read and listen to us as proven by the multiple articles about us. In fact, eurogamer and frontier interviewed us in the past. People obviously care to hear what we have to say.

I'm with AA and we were in the thick of those discussion as well. but I wasn't involved. The difference is that AA doesn't take credit for the work of the whole. There were any number of contributors to the taming (Let's hope) of the Heat issues. I could make a case that it was Elethiomel Zakalwe, or Breakfastmelon who first mentioned going on a killing spree to point out the mechanic, but in our world that is just a passing joke, not a call to 'action'. In the end, it was by direct communications with FD and others that the steps already completed, and the rest incoming, were accomplished. SDC's tantrum was likely an attempt at taking credit for what was about to happen.

You are sensationalist news. I'm not sure how many actually care what you have to say, but what you do and how you portray it sure sells. Kim Kardashian has been interviewed by a lot of magazines as well, doesn't really mean I want to hear what she says.

Mohrgan I believe explains your "direct line to FDev" more accurately. So the truth lies somewhere along "PvPers got together and talked with FDev about the Heat issues". Then you guys come along and say "SDC talked with FDev and fixed it all!" There are nuances in there that don't come through very well when it comes from your side. That makes you a little less believable. Well, in addition to your other antics ofcourse.
