SERVER OFFLINE

Was part way through a mission, no warning 'cannot communicate with server'. Launcher was showing server status 'offline'.
Was/Is this an unannounced downtime?

Thought it was just me - yup something seems to have died - can't log back in at all now.......despite Server Status in the launcher saying OK - I swear that value is hard-coded.

Not sure if announced. I just got booted too. DownDetector is showing 80 reports of same from other CMDRs.

Same 4 me. Loading now, but slowly indeed. Before offline was 3 min FSD jump and partial load of target system info (not all bodies)
Addition - thrown out in 35K LS from star, trying 2 ju,p in other syste, - the same timeout

So - I can't connect either. The timing isn't great, because my new router arrived, and I just put the ED port forward on it. AND NOW I DON'T KNOW IF IT WAS ME OR THE GAME. Pffft, typical.

Edit: Server Status in the client = "OK". Helpful.

My Launcher status did briefly show 'offline' the first time I got booted, but now showing 'OK'. Of course, it is NOT ok.

I'm logged in to the game, however cannot access missions menu - same error, cannot communicate with server.

Possibly a back-end ninja update, not necessarily a bad thing. Maybe just that the login server is down, who knows?

My game is working, but when disembraking/embarking it takes ages.

It is hilarious how, in the fade to black screen, I hear my steps for a couple of minutes or more, and I am disembarking a Hauler.

I think I must have done something like 50 laps of the ship, so far.

Well got as far as server status ok, selected mode and online but laggy as a very laggy thing so dunno if it will last.

and, of course, all the lockers/data points are now empty. Well done Frontier.

something is going on indeed.

on my side, while i managed to get connected to the servers (and it took way longer than usual), upon choosing to log in Open, i'm presented with a permanent black screen for 5 minutes, right now is stuck on Loading Game.
