1100 - 200 = 500??????
just check Aisling Duvals amount of CC she has to spend......
Also is it just me, or did the merit "decay" actually give people more merits rather than decrease it.

Aisling Duvals spending CC seems wrong, all systems were fortified and one also undermined. Add the 3 systems we should have expanded into, shouldn't her available CC this cycle be about 980?
Yet it's not much higher than last cycles.

yes, yes it should, the overview page even states, 1100 CC coming in and only 200 CC going out, this whole powerplay update has just been shockingly bad.

To address concerns raised by those Commanders who were not expecting the first Powerplay Cycle to end this morning, we have reduced the decay so that all Commanders have only lost 6/7ths of the Merits they would normally have lost at the end of a cycle. This affects this cycle only, all future cycles will decay at the full amount.
For anyone else at all confused about how this is worded, we figured out on Quakenet #Elite-Dangerous that what MB means is that normally you'd lose 50%, but due to this cycle only being 6 days they made it so you only lose 6/7ths of that 50% instead. Thus you'll have remaining 1 - (0.5 * 6/7) = ~57.14% of the merits you'd handed in before the cycle ticked.

Ca't stump up the cash means they didn't have enough command capital for that action - which would have been displayed in red on the preperation list. In this instance Caspatsuria was within 15 light years of the successful Grovichun expansion it failed.

Michael

Sorry, I don't follow. There's a hidden minimum distance between systems being prepared to be eligible for expansion? Why isn't this made clear anywhere?

Michael: Capsatsuria and Grovichun are 15.4ly away from each other. Can you please explain in simple terms how they can be in each others radii?

From what has been written about PP the SYSTEM ITSELF needs to be in the other system's expansion radius, and not the two radii simply being overlapped that would cause a preperation to fail.

except that it has actually increased peoples CC from last week not decreased it, I went from 420 handed in last week before decay, after decay it shows 499! GG.

Its probably a bug but i did not lose a merrit but i got 1 merrit from 6 to 7 (i know its low but i am an explorer for the great expedition)

Maybe that should had been stated in the manual. The 15 light year things.. it was not mentioned anywhere and totally screwed us over. Also does this mean that if we target two systems that are both within 15 light years of each other, ie we want to expand into both, only one will succeed?

So basically a tie-breaker, you're saying. I know Torval pumped a ridiculous amount of prep there.

Grovichun showed as white on most of us Aisling Angels as a solid no 3. Is that possibly a bug? (It's still showing us as having the same 497 CC it had last cycle, which you are looking into as we speak, so may be related)

Well I thought I was getting a handle on PP but I guess not, totally lost again. Maybe it will make sense when I have the actual game in front of me..

No they messed up, we knew about the 15ly thing, so we made sure to target a system that was GREATER THAN 15LY away from the other system.

But in typical Frontier magic 15.4 is less than 15

and didn't the elite expansion video state that an expanding power can start to encroach on exploited systems from another power?
are you saying this is not the case and the video is wrong?

This update is quite confusing and possibly still wrong, as it appears to confuse PREPARATION with EXPANSION. Going by the state of Torval's power just before the update, we had enough CC to prepare Caspatsuria, Kappa Phoenicis, Kappa Fornacis, Kaliki, and LFT 37, and had prepared all of those systems above their triggers, and above any efforts from other powers. We succesfully reached triggers to expand into Tangphonsa, Naunei, and Carnai, and were not successfully opposed in any of those systems. A particularly notable mistake is that Kappa Fornacis is in Hudson's expansion tab instead of Torval's. Another is that Kappa Phoenicis should have been prepared, as we most certainly DID have enough CC for all 5 systems mentioned Torval is still listed as having 890 CC available, when this number should have changed.

Thank you so much, I started to think I went mad and Im the only one crying about this injustice toward our Lady Zemina Torval, I still her Hudson laughing his ass off sending deathsquads to Kappa Fornacis.

So we do it well in Kamokan and Lakluita and we loose Lakluita... So new rules in the middle of the match. /clap

its Aisling you should feel sorry for, should have had 1100 CC to spend this cycle, but she has less than 500.

Yeah, this isn't really "fixed" at all. It's a band aid, but I would like for some actual dialogue about how they're going to fix this.
