Yep Severs are down and everyone at Frontier went home for the weekend? :S

Frontier needs a support team active every day of the week to hot-fix exploits and server issues.

My Remote Engineering passes seemed to be taking a heck of a long time to complete, and then BOOM. Server Error and disconnected. Then the game hung on a black screen.

My remote engineering changed the blue print by itself.. from long range FSD to shorter loading time

Servers don't follow... They are supposed to be dynamic scaled server (Amazon)... But they doesn't scale to the new user peak...

That's the Steam charts only. Additional players exist which don't use Steam (like me) - may be much more this way as via Steam.

I bet it's the billion credit skimmer exploit that's being nerfed. Hopefully there are some bugs fixed as well.

Seriously first post on forum of servers going down was like 10 mins ago, you are less patient than my wife!

Launcher says "SERVER STATUS OK". Is the "OK" hard coded in the page?? We need to be able to believe what we see there.

Edit: START button briefly ungreyed but matchmaking server still not connecting, and START greyed out again. Seems someone is working on it? Suggest that they do something about the server status message before they work on anything else, though, so we know that they are aware of the problem - shouldn't hold things up by more than a few seconds.
