Shamash Signals - YTEC Pilot Report - Black Box Recovered (RP)

Captain Milly Woodard, who heads external operations at YKE Technologies (YTEC), issued a formal statement in response to the detection of Dangerous Signals in the Shamash system:
On October 25th, 3309, the Pilot's Federation received an unusual distress signal from the Shamash sytem. All Commanders within the Pilot's Federation were promptly alerted, emphasizing extreme caution. This message was then forwarded across the YKE Network to all employees.

Due to the heightened emphasis on caution, only a limited number of YTEC pilots were dispatched to investigate. This decision has proven wise, as these pilots were briefly affected by the mysterious events in Shamash. However, there was one significant caveat... CEO & CMDR Dylan D insisted on personally embarking on the journey, despite the inherent risks of losing our Chief Executive Officer.

The initial group of pilots was experienced in handling various interstellar anomalies, but the events in Shamash exceeded their expectations. They reported spacetime distortions, gravitational fluctuations, and a peculiar 'skull face' spectral phenomenon, seemingly products of their own consciousness. We admittedly have no clue what is going on here, and may need to appeal to other scientific organizations for assistance.

External communications were intentionally disabled for security reasons, leaving mission control completely in the dark regarding the situation from the outside. Despite efforts to reestablish contact, the Shamash system remains isolated from the entire Galactic Network.

After the 12-hour mark, additional pilots were sent to rescue the initial group. Local transponders failed to ping following the second group's arrival, sparking what could be described as the most intense search and rescue operation we've ever conducted. It was discovered that ships from the first group were completely destroyed, and that Local Security Forces evacuated all surviving YTEC personnel to the Khonsu Gleam Megaship, operated by San Tu State Network, where they were subsequently picked up by the secondary "rendezvous" group. CMDR Dylan D was the only pilot to recover from the first group, all other pilots are deceased.

San Tu State Network managed to recover CMDR Dylan D's black box recording, which depicts the moments leading up to destruction:

Additional Black Boxes have been recovered, but are damaged and require maintenance before playback is possible.
A follow-up report will be issued once more information has presented itself, and will be attached underneath this article.
