Sharing Ships

I literally came on the forum just to say that this is needed, now.

Nope, it's not
The game is about building a career as a Commander in the Pilots Federation and Building a career takes time
It a personal journey

It's not about powerleveling someone or selling them tickets that would be putting them in a ship full with tools they know nothing about

If it is all about sharing the Titan experience with your buddy, you can already lend them a ship. It is called a ship launched fighter, and it comes with the added benefit of your buddy not having to navigate through the toxic environment to reach the Titan.

While the entry bar has been significantly lowered, this is still end game content'ish. There are still interceptors, scouts and hunters about, which may or may not ne a suitable environtment for a pilot who might not yet be able to leave the mailslot without abdocking computer. Yes, I am exaggerating to make a point.

As said, this is a career game with a few learning curves. Allowing to skip all that might be a bad idea.

Yeah, how do you figure? People already post jobs, offering to pay CMDRs 10-50k/ton if they'll load or unload their fleet carriers.
What would be so bad or different about offering a kitted out cytoplasma conda for 20m/hr or whatever the market landed on, and letting people go make hundreds of millions per hour with it?
The difference is you can load or unload goods from any station or outpost in the game.

For Titan bombing, EVERYTHING
No.

I have heaty duty hull, dirty thrusters, beam with thermal vent (what is ultra popular upgrade, so no, not "not generic way".
Only non standard upgrade which I have is plant.

Also, you dont need meta grind in specific place of galaxy, materials can be earned by a lot of different ways.
For me it looks like "I havent anything, but want end game NOW" issue. If you want to just show him titan- take him in multicrew, maybe even with slf/turreted beam :D
Or, partially, skill issue. In other thread I seen posts of guy, which do titan bombing in DBS with very light engineering. Sometimes "the bigga gun" isn't "the best".

You can't have cool things in the game and have them be so restrictive. This is how live service games DIE.
On the contrary. One of the signs of an MMO game (especially an MMORPG) being on its deathbed is when the developers start giving more and more endgame stuff for free or extremely cheap in a vain attempt to try to entice more new players (and old ones to rejoin). This can be seen again and again with myriads of MMO's that were once relatively popular but are now almost or fully deserted.

Indeed.
Personally, I know much more online games, which after massive decreasing required effort were in WORSE posistion, instead better.
Adding everything for free, ultra boosts, or changing "you gonna grind to level 70 for months" to "you will do 2h long tutorial, lol" not working. Such games are worse (or at least less diverse, because tons of old content are skipped, or meaningless, example tons of areas in lineage :) ), and with much lower playerbases. Games with heavy impact of progression cannot exist without removing progression (and elite is easy enough here, this mythical "conda, so not greenhorn" currently is...something like 2 hours of touching grass, so if he have to measure progres of his friends in owned condas he probably still is quite new).

The whole point is to add an option to rent out ships for ppl like me who like to engineer things for those who don't (for various reasons). Weekly paid rent would be fine for me, for the price I would leave it to devs (it could be simply set to min/max value allowed by game). There could be additional restrictions like being able to rent out one ship at the time at most, rank limit or rent option being available to squad members only.
The way I see it work is like this:
1. Normal rebuy option applies to rented ship too. In case player cannot afford it it goes back to the owner (which obviously means that one insurance have to be paid once in advance when renting ship).
2. All options to change livery and outfitting would be disabled on rented ship (quite logical since it is not Your ship).
3. Lease time is one week. It can be done in the same way as carrier rent is paid.
4. Simple menu with the list of ships that can be rent out and on what terms (for example if it can be extended automaticaly after one week or just be one-time offer).
5. Special FC module used to store ships available for rent.

Those are just mu thoughts on the topic.
