Who's got the time or inclination? Some people haven't even read the Elite Dangerous Manual. Some players don't even know it exists!

Yes, but my point is that if you could sit in the toilet instead of playing the game, how often would you do that? Repeatedly, day after day of PC time, or once and rarely again? It's not a sensible investment of resources, especially with the required physics of (excuse the pun) 3D motions of a spacecraft going on. Also, zero gravity toilet, just sayin'...

I have evenings where I never get to leave the station, just sitting in some of my many ships, marvelling at the cockpits and the thingies, changing modules, laughing at other CMDRs "landings" and stuff like that. Also, sitting is a thing in the game now. Even I tried it, and I'm so happy about sitting in my spaceship, that you rarely find me walking.
