I have a feeling a couple of my main's ships were named from his generator (they were ones being used for a single purpose rather than 'keepers') and one of them was so crazy that it 'saved' me from a friendly gank as it got a 'seal of approval'..

That is rather a grand name... Fleet Carrier might be good!

One of my recent Beluga's (used for a one-way trip to Colonia) was called "Prison Ship #42" - that was quite fun..

None of my ships have serious names. Just a few examples;
My explOrca: Majestic Space Willy.
DBX: Star Trekken.
A Corvette: Blatant Compensation.
A cargo/mission python: The DesPyeethon.
My now mothballed FDL: BANG!PEW!PEW!
Even my FC: G.S.I. Gverf.

The main ship find myself flying is the Goldenmember, a gold plated Anaconda with yellow thrusters and weapons. It's pretty groovy.

My ships are generally named after anime female characters or names taken from my MMO characters. Tho two ships have out of theme names:

• FDL "Fleur du Mal"
• Python "Illusion of Grandeur"

I'm not very original if it comes to names.

If anyone's interested ("Of course they're not!" -Ed) it's from The Longest Journey series. There is an ancient artifact mentioned in the game's mythology called The Silver Spear of Gorimon.

Many of my ships are named after Mozart's Masterful Music Melodies - but sometimes I listen to other composers and name the ship accordingly based on what piece of music I am listening to as I build the ship
