I'm glad somebody (most of us aside from Sandro) gets it.
Instant delivery breaks the philosophy, plausibility, and some mechanics of the game. Instant transport to station upon death is needed because, well, that's the only option. The game is based on travelling in a ship. Vast distances. Feeling the grandeur of space. Make you work to be the best explorer/pirate/trader/bounty hunter/etc in the void. It makes outfitting your ship a careful science. Sandro says, "meh, **** all that."
Instant delivery severely changes Power Play. With instant transfer, I can easily fortify and undermine within minutes of each other. Obtaining rank 5 for 50 million credits per week is much more obtainable and allows me to get my end game ships a LOT quicker. End game success = growing bordom = it's time to find something else.
Instant delivery makes outfitting a thing of the past. Just A-rate everything because it no longer matters.
