Surely its just click save as now then a pop up comes up with choose slot to save to. Click the one you want save, do you want to use this as your cmdr yes no. Click the option done.

Like I said, new UI work; doesn't just magically appear you know. They aren't the fastest dev team I've ever come across, and I've known a few.

For my part, I gave recreating myself a go. Didn't get anywhere near (as others have pointed out, the "ugly" slider just doesn't go high enough), but some features were close enough in profile cockpit camera, that I discovered I find it creepy to look at a clone of myself - won't try that again.

No, I think they over-saturated to dazzle console owners. I can not tell the difference between a laser effect and the skin or hair of the commander now.
I remember during kickstarter the game was advirtized as PC only and boasting what it's capable of because of that. now they are dumbing down everything to please consolers just like every other game?
