Show Us Your Setup

Awesome! I thought I was the only X65F user out there...after having used it for a couple of years I don't know how I could use anything else. Then again the thing is built like a tank, we may never have to!

Thank you for the offer, alas mine is also screwed down, that really is the only way to go with that beast!

I got mine for just over £300 many years ago now and when I got it I thought I had wasted my money due to it not feeling right. After getting used to it though and setting it up right it is a great piece of kit. Unbreakable and my throttle is nice and loose now after a few years of use. I had to hang off it to get it to move to begin with.

Come on guys/girls get your set ups posted I love seeing what other people play on.

You realise your setup is not complete unless you have a warp core pulsating on the desk :p

Acer Aspire V7 Laptop

Loving the Beta. Yes, it works on a laptop too!

My Acer Aspire V7 has an Intel Core i7, with 12Gb RAM and NVidia GeForce 720M.

Thought this might be helpful for those who lead a mobile life.

Cheers,
Nikko

Careful you don't cook it. I cooked my Acer Aspire i7 laptop in Alpha. Fried. I think the graphics load can vary a lot. Make sure your cooling is good.

XP?

I was wondering for a longer time and didn't find any clear reply: any chance that E: D would run on an XP???

I see a lot of Commanders have triple screen setups. Never had the chance to try this for myself, but have wondered if the width of the screen bezels doesn't make it a bit jarring when you look left or right?

My functionally messy desk:

athan-gaming-setup.jpg

I could use something like those JoyLoc devices for mounting the HOTAS though.

CPU: Intel i5-760 @ 3.20GHz
RAM: 12GB (original 2x2, then additional 2x4) 1600MHz DDR3 RAM
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3
GPU: igabyte GTX 780 Ti (The Windforce 'OC' edition), 3GB VRAM
Drives: Samsung 840 Pro 256GB SSD, and a Samsung 1TB HDD
Monitor: Dell U2414H 1920x1080 24" as the main, it has wonderfully thin bezel and a nice stand, well worth the money. The other is my Iiyama 22" 1680x1050.
HOTAS: Saitek X-45 which recently had a trigger button issue but that was just a wire needing resoldering onto the switch contact. Yes, I also need to bite the bullet and modify the centering spring, as those cable ties keep shifting around.
Keyboard: Logitech G110
Mouse: Logitech G600
Speakers: Logitech Z313
OS: Windows 7 64 bit

Note I'll be upgrading the motherboard, CPU and RAM (and case and non-stock CPU cooler) to the following:

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97-UD3H
CPU: Intel i7-4790K (gambling on games being better at multithreading in future)
RAM: 16GB as 2x8GB, probably 1866MHz CAS 9
Case: Corsair Carbide 300R
Cooler: Either Noctua NH-U14S, or Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo

gear.jpg

OS : Windows 8 ‎(X64)‎
CPU : Intel Core i7 3770 3.40 GHz
Mobo : MEDION MS-7797 1.1
Memory : 8 Gb DDR3 PC3-12800
Graphics card : AMD Radeon HD 7870 (DirectX 11.0)
HD 1 : SSD 250Go (system + game)
HD 2 : Sata 1To
HD 3 : Sata 500Go
Keyboard : Logitech G11 Keyboard
Mouse : Logitech G9 Laser Mouse
Display : three 27" Packard Bell Viseo273D monitors
VR device : TrackIR 5.0
Joystick : Saïtek X22
Ice on the cake : AssKicker Pro

Will get a new rig (probably I7 something, 16GO ram & Radeon 290) for final release.

@hst12: The picture becomes a bit distorted towards the edges of the lateral screens, some of which can be optimised through fov adjustments.
I don't think it's a problem though - it merely serves the purpose to enhance peripheral vision and when I actively look at something, I'll turn my head using TrackIR anyway.

Here's an old picture to get an idea:
