Shutdown Sothis Until Fixed

It's bizarre to me that a certain subset of players here have such a burning need to make sure other players, who are clearly piling onto some content because they want to do it, must be stopped at all costs.

I mean are you allergic to fun or to people playing this game or something? What possible effect could their actions have on you??? There is barely any player interaction in this game anyway!

I don't know if I am exploiting but taking fare paying passengers in Ceos is paying me more per hr than this so called exploit!

For those that need to know, data missions grew your fed rank so you can get that 3/4 billion Corvette in about the same time frame as getting a real (car) Corvette would while earning 40 bucks an hour. FD have much more to do than fix something that ISN'T broken.

I find it pretty dumb people are complaining about 'exploits' that are simple game play, "it makes more than 10m/hr IT'S AN EXPLOIT NERF NERF NERF" seriously, stop, it's not an 'exploit', 10 and 20m/hr is perfectly reasonable, people on Elite seem to have forgotten the definition of an 'exploit', might as well call Bounty Hunting an Exploit because I made 5m inside an hour, oh dear how dear I use a feature of the game to make a bit of money? ohh no I did trading, I made a profit of 1.4m transferring grain to another system it's an exploit!!!!! please nerf!!!, seriously, stop.

Normally what you say is true but in this case just look at how people have responded, assuming they have not gone back and edited their responses.

Well, you know, you didn't really give anyone anything to talk about. Your title is clickbait for this forum and then you link us elsewhere to a discussion where we see it's about 20M CR runs between Sothis and Ceos. What exactly is the issue from your perspective that makes you think they should be shut down? You need to elaborate, because yes, people do get antsy toward people who just seem to just be 'having a whine, for whine sake'. If you want something constructive, start it off as such, asking for shutdowns and calling things exploits is flame fodder otherwise.

Okay so lets discuss this with FACTS. I am already fully repped with all the factions at Sothis/Ceos.
I just did a round trip in a A Rated fully engineered Python with 256T cargo. I made 17mill in 41 minutes, and that's with board hopping. This is one of the best runs i could get with no interdictions BTW. I know it's about as good as it gets, I've been doing this run for a while now .
IMHO i couldn't call this an exploit worthy of being Nerfed.

EDIT: Just did the maths for you. That is 24.87mill per hour.

I believe they work under the premise that any image that isn't helpful or related to the topic in a constructive way is considered spam, more so when they are poking fun. Sorry for your loss there though, mine wasn't handcrafted so I'm a bit less disappointed at the turn of events.

I'm still waiting to see what this all about so we can actually discuss the topic.

Unless there is more to this thread and what has been said about sothis/ceos there's no exploit going on just normal space trucking, I think some people need to stop trolling and trying to get everything nerfed into oblivion.

There are too many stars in the game and explorers are exploiting this to make unacceptable amounts of cash.
Please FDev shut down at least 90% to stop them exploiting this, making well over 500 credits an hour. D

I may have been exaggerating on the 'fun' part but, I've been doing delivery missions down in the asp end of the bubble going upwards and making a tidy sum. I only get a few hours for a few days a week (though that's gone up a bit since buying a hotas) to play so, going back and forth between two stations isn't how I'd like to spend that time. There seems to be a greater chance of something happening on the way doing deliveries than courier missions and makes it that little bit less tedious. Its more fun for role play too.

Yes! Us Explorers have it too good! Travelling a million Ly's for very little potential gain is unacceptable! Please nerf all star systems to be asteroid belts immediately!

(sorry, my internal annoyance with certain mission types and not being able to find them seems to have over-spilled )

At this point they might want to shut down the game until the mission boards are fixed.

I jest of course but its quite shocking that so many issues with the mission boards show up with each and every update to the game.

Perhaps in future the mission boards should be stress tested in beta rather than simply opening the doors to the servers and letting everyone A rate a Corvette and whatever other non testing crap people do.
