man did I start a Schelich Discussion, neat. anyway, this is Moros Intrepidus, aka, the drug raptorView attachment 379716
anyway, I prefer Collecta but I have been Schelich all my life and I am not stopping, so out of curiosity what do you think is the best of Schelich Wildlife 2024, here is a link to look at them all.
I haven’t gotten Schleich figures or tbh any animal figures since I was a kid. But I would probably say the African Buffalo looks the most realistic.

Why do you keep calling it schelich than lol ? :D
Out of the ones from the link? I think the black bear looks best. The moros is an absolute abomination :D Like whats going on with the leggs?

Happy New Year lovelies!!! May this year bring you all great wildlife spotting, new DLC, animal toys if that's your thing and lots of floofy cuddles! My resolution is to draw more, I have mostly been tied up with wedding stuff and bridesmaid duties but got a couple of quiet moments for these. Have seen lots of Cape Fur Seals so far and lots of beautiful birds. Especially excited to discover the Hadeda Ibis, such funny characters. African Penguins tomorrow on a coastal drive back to Cape Town!

Oh my that looks so fun! And the seal and ibis are amazing! Happy new year! 🎆🎉
I wish I could draw like that. Sometimes it comes out good and others it looks like trash 🤣

Thank you sweet dear Orkan, I hope you see more of your local gray fox this year! Keep practising, and draw what you see, not what you expect to see 😊 you'll make progress and the journey is so meditative, it gives me such a beautiful headspace when I draw! Forgot how much I love it!

My family is planning a trip to Yellowstone hopefully in May. Maybe I’ll bring a sketch pad…

Yay do!! I use a mix of real life for inspo and then reference photos (my own and online) but my challenge tomorrow is to do some quick ones in the moment from real life, much harder!

When I was a teenager I practised from a book of sketches by a wildlife artist, I forget his name but copying line drawings taught me how to start with simple shapes and then slowly shade in detail. I haven't done it for years, it feels so good to come back to it! Less gaming/tv and more time with my art box for me this year 😊 Can't wait to see some of your drawings if you feel like sharing them!

I’m kind of bored. Let’s start a discussion:
Remember when we were all waiting for the Eurasia pack teaser and we somehow got talking about a hypothetical Planet Zoo movie? Let’s go back to that. What would the story be? Who would play the characters? Live action or animated?
I’m torn between James Earl Jones and Idris Elba as Bernie. Also, there’s this actress named Bryce Charles. I think she’d be good as Emma.

Maybe they could do something like that movie Zookeeper. Anyone seen that? Just me? Okay anyway…

Besides from that movie completely inaccurately representing the Franklin Park Zoo, it was basically just a random zookeeper doing cringey things and breaking various laws including taking a gorilla to TGI Fridays. It’s really the only movie I can think of that’s set in a zoo that actually involves the zoo into the story. Any thoughts?
Man, I loved that movie when I was younger. Also, Sylvester Stallone as the lion was surprisingly good casting. Also, the AZA would NOT approve of the gorilla habitat from most of the movie. It’s just a pit with cement walls and floors.

Note that this is probably going to work best in Live Action
I don’t know. I think people are getting tired of so much CGI, which they’ll definitely need for animals like rhinos, hippos, gorillas, and others.

While on the topic of colltecting, anyone else her colltecting fossils? :)
Pretty proud of my little collection

When it comes to collecting, I don’t collect things like fossils or figurines. Whenever I go places like zoos, amusement/theme parks, museums, aquariums, or places like that, I collect maps or any other printable things they provide like guidebooks. I’ve been collecting them since I was a little kid. My mom most likely has a box full of them in our attic.

Fun! You’ll have fun, trust me. My parents and I once got stopped by a bison herd trying to cross the street during our trip. Having your car stopped isn’t as annoying and patience-testing when you’re face to face with those magnificent creatures. Also, go see Old Faithful. That was fun.

Also, here’s a tip: there will be little to no phone service due to Yellowstone being a National Park, so brace yourself.

Idk who designed that thing 💀
someone who was high.
