It's disappointing that after all these years we only have 1 type of SRV. Can we get some more ground vehicles?
Or is it disappointing that, after all these years, you're more interested in a new SRV rather than new things to do with the one you have?
Kind of like we're more interested in being able to reuse stolen limpets more than a universal controller?
Or have small seismic charges rather than give the proper hardpoints to ships that could use a new lease on life in mining?
Or have fleet carriers to store our space ships and move them for inordinate costs rather than a smarter taxi system?
Or more space phenomena to find rather than more ways to interact with the phenomena we have?
Or more AX weapons and variations rather than more variations in the Thargoids AI and types?
Or better multi-crew functionality rather than basic NPC functions that could inform multi-crew development?
Or better balancing of PvP, c-logging, and 5C in Powerplay rather than stabilizing and expanding CQC, a dedicated PvP feature, which could inform the future of other PvP interactions in Elite - notably in determining what is balanced via a controlled, arena-environment. Like CQC.
Or maybe it's just disappointing that after all these years, Frontier has released so many fascinating and delightful features that are foundational...
...and not actually built anything on those foundations since. In many ways, Elite is analogous to a massive parking lot.
Lots on concrete and support to build something truly great on.
Instead, parked a lot of cars on it.
It's big (massive, really)...and not particularly interesting once you realize, yep, it's a parking lot.
