News Skimmer Massacre Mission - Temporary Removal

Earning 100 to 300 million credits per hour in a viper is not as intended. If it was then they wouldn't have temporarily removed this mission.

So you admit that the game does require you to migrate to larger ships? That all ships are not equal... If it didn't matter which ship you preferred to fly, it wouldn't affect the end result would it.

Maybe the solution would be for the value of subsequent missions fall with each mission that is stacked, first mission selected pays X, second pays X/2, third pays X/3 and so on. Or even just reduce the payment by a fixed amount each time another mission is added, but that would end up requiring including a method for the player to pay the mission giver to carry out the mission.

That would show who is doing the missions for the content and game play and who wants to just get rich quick.

You mean like a real market economy of supply and demand... the kind of thing I've been advocating for a long long time.

They wouldn't even need to adjust/tweak/nerf payouts. It would be totally self adjusting.

Edit #2: Can't find the post where I described the methodology they could use, but it's basically a set of payout scaling factor vars, one for each mission type in the system. As a specific mission type becomes more popular, the scaling factor reduces. Over time if a particular mission type is unpopular, the scaling factor increases (until it might actually become desirable/popular again). Max and min payout limits should still apply as sanity checks. Nothing difficult about any of this.

Hello Commanders,

As you are likely aware, an issue was recently discovered which allowed players to earn 200/300 million credits per hour by completing Skimmer Massacre Missions. We have removed this mission type while we investigate, and we will update this post as an edit once we have more information.

Thanks.

this was highly exagerated. I did that mission and the most i could possibly earn once allied was 100 or so MAX per hour. I don't see how it was humanly possible to earn 200-300 an hour because i tried it

The grind in ED sucks, it's true. However, I have to drop a little logic bomb on folks here: If you need an Anaconda to have fun, you're missing the point.
