SLF fighters need to deploy faster

Or at least have a hot key to immediately deploy instead of going through all those key clicks.

Also, we need to be able to send more commands to the SLF. We need a way to build strategy and to communicate said strategy to the SLF.

I agree with Eugene. And we need to be able to deploy two SLF at once. At least two. And add Midnight paintjobs lol
 
And what commands, pray tell, beyond "Attack, Defend, Follow, Hold Position, Hold Fire, Focus Fire, and RTB"?

Because if you can't chain short simple commands, you will never succeed as a military leader.

I would like a control to launch fighter but at the same time, you need to select which fighter if you're carrying one and who's going to pilot it.

Shoot and hide?

SR then ambush and snipe power plant?

If you can't think of strategy past attack, defend, follow, hold position hold fire, and rtb, then you will never succeed as a military leader.

I don't know why but it seems that it takes a dog's age to launch the first time after dropping to normal space. With subsequent launches only take a second or two.

Also, ++ to the Midnight paint suggestion. :3

Same loading screen lag issues that pervade the game. Used to happen with SRVs too.

I agree that they need to deploy faster. I agree that a lot of things with them need to be faster.

Deploying them, after you actually hit on deploy, can take up to 5 minutes until they're actually out and flying about. I've had it take 15 seconds and I've had it take 5 minutes. The average for me is about 2-3 minutes for it to actually deploy after you hit deploy. This is way too long.

Transferring yourself into them to pilot takes too long as well. I've sat staring at that spinning orange cube thing for around 7 minutes before just listening to my crew control my ship shooting things.

And finally here is the one that desperately needs speeding up; transferring from a destroyed fighter back into the pilot seat. If you're piloting the fighter and it gets killed the feed dies and you stare at a black loading screen while your crew member leaves the helm of the ship making it a giant space rock until you load back into the helm yourself. I've had this screen last anywhere from 15 seconds, if i'm lucky, to 6 minutes while I'm still being shot at. I've died after 3 minutes of staring at that black screen with the spinning cube. Ive had my fighter be destroyed with the mother ship at full shields and hull and by the time its finally done putting me in the helm my hull is at 6%.

While we are at it, add more commands for the NPCs at the helm.

Collect with limpets
Fire hatch breakers
Target X module (in mothership and SLF)

What kind of hardware do you have? How is your internet connection? I've deployed hundreds of SLF (both with myself and my hired gun piloting) and I have never had it take more than a few seconds to deploy.
 
I just want a quick-launch hot key. If you're carrying two fighters, have one selectable as your quick-launch fighter so the game doesn't confuse the two.

I have an xbox one s and a gtx 980 with 16 gb of ram; internet speeds of 150 mbs, although in actuality its more like 120. My hardware isn't the problem, nor does this tie to only the SLF. The pause menu, galaxy map, and system map can all have horrendous "deploy" times as well. The game just seems to have long loading times in general. My friends on both the console and PC that I play with have taken note of this as well.

Sometimes people just do not want things to be faster....lol
 
It has to be something on your end, I had these long load times until I got a new PC and now it is less than 5 seconds for SLF or galaxy map.

It's not hardware related. 2.1 was fine for me. With 2.2, you might as well click "Outfitting", then order dinner. Pizza may arrive before the loading is done.
 
Aye, deploys for me are running up to a max of ~5 seconds. Still feels too slow though. 5 Minutes??

Tried sticking your XBox in a DMZ just to see?

Agressive - kill or die trying, all weapons hot
Medium - Balance between agressive & defensive
Defensive - Engines powered, be a mosquito, annoying, but the SLF will live.

The fighter menu is beyond moronic with terrible layout and excessive clicks to do anything, further complicated by the bugged UI that layers all the vehicle tabs on top of each other.

Fighter menu should be just launch, recall, and tactics. Change the Crew tab to have options for Default Ship, Default Stance, Auto Deploy (Hostile), Auto Deploy (Fighter Destruction)
