Community Event / Creation Slough Bells Ringing TWITCH STREAM with Cdr Angel Rose

Hey, been flying around Vespa M4 and nearby systems, looking for some low intensity combat zones, found none so far, do any nearby systems have them? Want to get a bit of combat practice in as I've just been trading so far....

If you head to Nav beacons & extraction points there are always wanted ships & pirates hanging around there... make sure you're not in an anarchy system though as no-one shows as wanted there! You can sit around with some cheap cargo in your hold and wait until a pirate scans and attacks you to be super sure.. but make sure your cross fire doesn't hit one of the authority vessels hanging about as they don't take kindly to that... :)

We have a bonus extra broadcast this weekend.. starting at Lave station at 6pm on Saturday.. Senator Drew Wagar will be casting on my channel with me on voice comms with him.. we're doing it to celebrate the launch of his audiobook, so there will be samples for a sneak preview played in the breaks :)

Hope you can join us and maker Drew feel welcome to our little Twitch channel :) .. it will be a OPEN PLAY night, not in my group...

Double the good news. The famous senator shall grace us with his presence, and Drew Wagar has finished his audiobook. It's bound to be good if it's been recorded by the same people who made "Tales from the Frontier" and "Mostly Harmless"

Thanks Kate! I'll have a look later tonight and see what my shiny new Cobra can do! :) Shouldn't be hard to miss, its bright orange!! Hoping for some flight time on Sunday too.... :) Right, shopping list, multicannons, chaff launcher and point defense should all help! A little more trading to to get some cash!

I wouldn't worry about point defense if you're only taking on NPCs.. a couple of gimballed burst lasers, a couple of gimballed multicannons, chaff launcher & a kill warrant scanner is a great start for killing in a cobra :) :) .. if you like we'll run through basic starter kit & combat on Sunday's cast

From the News letter #60:
"We're also hosting the launch of Drew Wagar's Elite: Reclamation audiobook in-game tomorrow, between 18:00 - 20:00 on January 31 outside of Lave Station in the Lave system."

How is this going to work?
Is the book going to be read?
Also, What time zone is 18:00 - 20:00? (In game time zone?)

I've never been to Lave as I was spawned near Eravate and am now about 175ly from Lave. I've been listening to the 'Lave Radio' Podcasts (enjoying them) They always mention that there are people outside the station. Are they listening live in-game or what? I'de be happy to make the trip, but I'm not interested if it's just going to be a bunch of ships hanging around a space station....

Timezone is GMT.

We will be broadcasting on Kate's twitch stream - www.twitch.tv/kateclick

I have 5 exclusive previews of the audiobook (plus some outtakes) and I will be talking about them all during the 2 hours, along with answering questions from Commanders in the Lave system.

Cheers,

Drew.

Magiilag it will be people hanging around, that said it may not be worth your journey if by the time you get there the instance is full, and you end up in a smaller group.

There is something spectacular however about a collection of players, swerving and weaving friendly around the front of lave station....

Come and you will be welcome, but you can STILL listen in by clicking on the Twitch.tv/kateclick and you can watch the video feed or minimize it and just listen in.

Look forward to seeing you there if you make it, otherwise fly safe commander!

The people who make it into the instance are bound to be immature. They are bound to come up with something to do. How about a game of football with a canister? There may only be the one goal, but it is rotating. That's such a daft idea I now really really have to see if it's feasible. I'm going onto Mobius one-sided play to give it a go.

Commanders.

We will be undertaking a trip from Lave to the Prism system. Join us at Lave, or enroute, or at the Prism system itself. I will be entertaining you enroute with exclusive previews of the audiobook! See you at 18:00 GMT!

Cheers,

Drew.

I am now allied with the Jet Transport Incorporated, even so allied that all missions are for this faction, they even ask me to shoot up some system security vessels. What is after allied or is it maxed? JTC is at 69% now raising very slowly.

I'll get to Lave and have a PC ready for me to jump into the game but, whilst in-game, I won't be able to see or hear the Twitch feed.

I had a last-minute (well, last hour) idea and it worked! I can set things up so that I can be in-game but hear the Twitch audio in one ear. I won't be able to see the text chat but I might be able to keep up if I hear what is going on. :)

You're lucky you got audio. I got pictures but my connection is so slow that the stream would just stop. Hopefully it'll go up on you tube.

And apologies to whoever I hit. Not only can't I fly my craft, I can't work my comms system <blush>. I just never saw your name as an option on my comms screen.

I am now waiting to see what the Tarach Tor Council news reports lead to; expanding into another system implies that we can keep expanding. Could we become a fourth faction?
I love it when a plan comes together! A group of us Elite: Dangerous players have been supporting a group in the Tarach Tor star system called the Tarach Tor Council. Missions, trading, fighting.... everything we can do to help. We've tried for days, slowly increasing their influence in the system.
Then....

"The Tarach Tor Evening Express
Tarach Tor Corporation Set For Interstellar Expansion

Local business leader the Tarach Tor Council has revealed its plan to extend the company's reach beyond the borders of Tarach Tor, news which was met with delight by many of the organisation's stakeholders."

....and....

"Tarach Tor Today
Why You Should Care About The Tarach Tor Council

Since its formation, the Tarach Tor Council has become an invaluable asset to the people of Tarach Tor. They've provided hundreds of people with meaningful employment and helped stimulate the local economy to levels well above what any other local business has manged to achieve.

Now they're set to do it all again. This week the Tarach Tor Council announced plans to expand their business to one of the neighbouring sectors. Several prime targets have supposedly been identified, but so far sources are refusing to say which system is the preferred choice."

And there's lots more!

And what are our group called? The Tarach Tor Council.
