Ok, just got a mission for 9 million Elite and see plenty of Low rank ones above 1 million. Can provide screen shots before anyone cry's troll..
Forget Sothis, filter the gal map for small outposts on the fringes, that's what I've been doing for the last few day's... Be sure to bring back cargo to get allied

I have been looking for alternatives yesterday, but found nothing (Tycoon trader). Then again, has there been a word about an actual fix? All I (and we?) know is that all (or most) smuggling missions went away, and nothing was returned, but if 'this' is the actual fix, no idea...
It might well be, they are returned to us in another form, another frequency, other values and what not, so looking for them now would be a waste of energy. The same goes for creating complaining threads about it

I think the real fix will come when we get a patch.. As I 've stated above, am still seeing missions up to 9 million for Elite rank, 1 or 2 million average for lower ranks

Now look, THIS is for an already ELITE-Trading pilot (and I'm sure that payout is only for such),
and you will get this every... what?.... 1-2 hours?!
the problem with the former uber payout was exactly that, the elite and tyconn and allied traders got these hugh uber missions,
anybody else got only good, yes very good, missions, but way below such sums!

80 ton, 17 target systems, 25 missions, 4,5 hrs, 21 mill cr.
And I'm Tycoon already.
Don't think I'll do that too often because this IS stressful and trading is WAY MORE lucrative if you're not elite rank.
I also got a very bad route planned, got 17 brown dwarfs in a row (had to go to economic route the last 6 hopps)
The ONLY thing that was very good, is that I learned how to evade and to sneak in (all 3 latest runs I weren't scanned or caught)

I saw those too yesterday, but for lower ranks nothing. The other 1 million missions are 'just' long range cargo missions, I haven't seen any smuggling mission. (the once with a skull and dealing with illegal goods).
Yet another person who completely misses the point of my OP, getting really sick and tired of saying it yet again. I DIDNT GO TO ING SOTHIS!!!!! I was 400 LY away in a nice little out of the way system doing low end smuggling missions. I was earning 1-2 mil an hour (something I can do farming sites but guess what it gets ing boring).It was a "nice,fun" alternative, I had built up allied standing with the local companies and was running jobs for them. Now because of the knee jerk reaction because of the whiners all those missions are gone and I'm left running cargo runs that are about as interesting and fun as flicking your balls with a cactus.

I hunted for and found a nice route I wasn't greedy I was having fun but according to some on here you can only have fun in Elite as long as you are
a: enjoying the game for what it is (whatever that means)
b: not earning more that someone else is doing whatever they are doing.
c: not having too much fun or an alternative way of putting it is being as bored as everyone else is but wont admit it.
d: if the 4000th star/kill/cargo/trade you have seen/done doesn't fill you with the same wonder as the first then Elite "isn't the game for you" because your a "instant gratification scrub,pubbie,nub,noob" go play CQC type.

Yes of course 6 to 9 million is Elite, as it should be. I am seeing one appear every refesh not every 1 or 2 hours. Each refresh spawns plenty of lower rank missions. just saw one for Merchant rank for over a million.. What's wrong with stacking 15 low rank missions around the 1 million range? You are still making more money than a bulk trader in a T9

Well then obviously your little corner of the galaxy was not producing the missions you require.. Adapt... Where I am at the moment you would have earned 2 million for 3 tonnes of cargo if you had an average trade rank

Every time earning credits becomes fun in this game instead of a long grind the whiners come out and demand it be nerfed. These are usually the people who played since beta and took advantage of no wipe on launch and the great rares and seeking luxuries and now have their billions.
If people want to keep this game restricted to those than can and want to invest 30 + hours a week Elite will remain an obscure niche game where the only time you see other players is in gold rushes like Sothis.
And you know for a fact that it was because some, (rightfully), questioned the validity and balance of the Sothis gold rush that Frontier acted do you? It is inconceivable to you that Frontier realised they had messed up and just fixed it?, I'l say it again for the hard of understanding, those saying these missions were out of kilter were not 'whining' - just pointing out the bloody obvious, there is whining going on but it is not from those who questioned the balance. It is a shame if your missions in your area suffered too, but to be honest, from what I've seen, the smuggling missions of old seem about the same, there are still some big payers, but they are rarer, which is how it should be.

Someone might argue that ED's just that, intentionally refusing to cater to casual masses (which is a good thing, IMO).
so you say my actual 4-5 mill cr per hr smuggling run with 30+ interdictions to evade and high adrenaline high speed landing manoevers do pay more that T-9 Trading? Don't joke yourself please ;-)
It's fun, don't get me wrong, I didn't have such much fun since Beta!
But for sure this will not be my income way of choice because reward vs. risk is WAY BELOW standard stupid A<->B Trading now.

Seriously mate, if you are only pulling 4/5 million an hour since the reduction then the issue is down to you. Where I am docked you can make much more than that at a lower rank. What ship are you flying?
I've just seen 1.8 million dealer rank, 5 million for broker..

Thx for ruining that single part in this game i actually totally loved. Why is Frontier listening to this vocal minority so much? They don't represent the majority. Who says that everything must be optimal balanced like everything else that is the same in this galaxy? It makes sense that some places are way more booming than others. Boring people only want boring things.

How do you keep getting all these missions cropping up? I've been in and out of Sothis all morning and not a jot - saying that a 100k Ceos smuggling one is in. I've logged out/in to reinstance myself and nothing - no smuggling/trading missions at all.

Because the payouts and frequency of these missions were a load of crap.
If the missions still occur, but less frequent, I wouldn't say it's ruined. It's just more balanced.
I can fly up to trading-conda IF I would like to (I don't like conda so its only a stripped leftover from some CG rewards in may I think),
normally I fly FAS (combat), Python (trading) and now ASP (smuggling), thats the 80 t comes from.
And no, I'm only getting 0,8-1,2 mill for 2-8 t. seldom some >2 and even more rare up to 4 mill for 10++ t.
