Now thats something I can agree withHuge clamour for new ships...but almost no one asking for new SRVs? We have just the two.

No need for version 2.0. Just modify all of those in-game, for all players. One day Large pad, the next day Medium pad. You see what I mean? Just messing around with the sizes of optional internals isn't compelling or particularly beneficial in any way.
There're no heavy combat ships like Mamba or FDL for Imp, Fed and Alliance.
There's no medium ship for Empire at all.
There's no "explorer" large class ship(Conda is due its ridiculously light hull, this should be fixed imho), with weak weapons but good exploration capability.
There's no small class ship with 4 class gun.
There's no 4 class guns only large ship.
There's no two 4 class guns medium ship like light Vulture with two 3 class guns.
Imperial ship series is lacking of ships in comparison.

There's no ship which is able to carry a light class ship as an SLF.
There're no guardian-hybrid ships of all classes and roles.
There're no old ships from previous Elites.
For 1000+ years of spacecraft development, only a few of producers are existing.
I'd like to see more producers, smaller ones that will compete with large companies.
Maybe add one via a long (2-4 weeks) CG with ship prototypes for 50%+ CMDRs.

I'm ok if we get lot of ships with near similar specifications to vanilla ships.
The Krait 2 is the only ship I fly. It's the only ship I need. For everything. I own other stuff, but it just collects dust, and it isn't like I'm going to switch to (and engineer) another ship that does all the same things either equally well or worse because it has one fewer size 4 and two more size 2s.The newest ships always are encourged to be better so that new content doesn't get criticized, which leads to things like the krait.

North just said it way more succinctly than I did. They're not roles. They're just different optional internal slot sizes. All the same modules for all the same tasks go into them, and we end up with new ships that do the same old things either better or worse than the existing ships. This is only a good thing if you'd rather Frontier make more ships than, you know, fix ED's many, many problems while rolling out another update.Those are not roles, are they?

Yes, but what roles are you expecting? Most of them can be set via installing a specific module - combat(assault and tank), AX, explorer, trader, miner, tourist ship, supporter, salvager. There will be no gaps.not roles

I'm talking about gaps in general. And there a lot of gaps and large empty spaces. Some are almost as space voids in size.

new ships = content for these people.. dont forget star ctizen is deprived of functioning game loops or anything that works in that tec demo. so each time they get a new ship wich is ussualy a copy and paste/ varient of the same ship they get its new content for them lol

The biggest change there for me would be an exploration one which has a bit of extra jumpjet and speed compared with the Scarab, but only 1t cargo space, a single slow-firing weapon (enough to smash rocks for materials only), and an integrated biosampler.I can never understand the obsession with new ships: Elite Dangerous already has plenty, and every role in the game is well covered.

Development of the thargoid war has taken over. They've moved the feature rewrite back until after update 15 and probably 16.Now the bad things...

Ok, try getting into a Maelstrom cloud then, or why don't you try attacking an Orthrus (admittedly, getting hold on one of those in an Alert system is a challenge). Thargoids never attacked stations or planetary port before, there's a lot more going on than just the old CZs. Also go look for some of the signal sources in Alert and Invading system, there are extra scenarios there that are new.Why keep reusing old assets and content ? Where is the new stuff.
They did. I'm getting a smooth 60 fps on every planetary base now (Even in CZs); I was only getting 10 to 15 at Odyssey Launch.What happened to fixing optimization for ground combat ?

It didn't happen! There were too many people complaining that it would ruin the game even though most of the complainers never played powerplay. They considered it a slippery slope for the whole game to become open only. A lot of people suspect that the feature overhaul will be powerplay but I suspect it will be Engineering (Again!Powerplay open only .. What happened to it ? Powerplay was meant to be pvp addition to the game.
You mean squadrons? It might be basic but it does the job. What the game really needs is a looking for wing/team function. You have one for multi-crew but there seriously needs one for the other kinds of team ups.The guild system is barebones and abandoned.
