So now we are being blocked from asking questions on the live stream if it's not what FDev want to hear?

yes, it's wrong to use open forums to ask inconvenient questions. Inconvenient questions should be reserved for times where Frontier has taken necessary precautions to avoid or ignore those questions.
I'm sure there are enough forum rules on the books to ban/moderate anyone on this forum for any reason and any time.
it's also not fair to those of us who paid for the game and would like to play. I guess if Frontier wants to ignore the dumpster fire and concentrate instead of the pretty new color they painted the dumpster, we should respect that.
Maybe if they put all the fluff on hold and put on an "all hands" effort to deal with the disaster at hand, we'd take them seriously.
Off-topic discussions are off-topic; it's polite to stay on-topic. Nagging for bugfixing during a livestream about voice acting is kinda foolish, more probably rude.

Providing feedback via the appropriate means is essential for obtaining developer attention. There is currently a hot topic thread garning much attention. Meanwhile, the suggestions subforum or is also suitable, as are Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, etc - whichever you feel most comfortable using.

If there's one thing I learned from groups like SDC, it's that these kinds of tactics are the ONLY way to get noticed and get problems addressed by FDev.
Or lordy, you looked to SDC to learn something? Hahaha! :ROFLMAO:

I didn't have the boredom to watch it - did they make mention of the recent issues?
Nope. Tonight's livestream was about voice acting for Elite Dangerous. Handily, FDev communicated that to us twice in these advance tweets:
Source: https://twitter.com/EliteDangerous/status/1178616283144867840

Source: https://twitter.com/EliteDangerous/status/1179762938674061313

And on the forums too:
Us kind Redditors also informed our 175k subscribers via two posts too.

To avoid feeling misinformed in future, I recommend following the official announcements subforum (especially the livestream thread), Twitter, or unofficial Reddit o7

Should that prove difficult or inconvenient, https://EliteDevTracker.com might suffice.

I can't even remember the last lifestream i watched. I had to "force myself" to skim though dav stotts bgs stream. I don't even care about the bgs anymore anyway because its only a powerplay tool now. All the mission boards are the same....

Anyway.

Oh livestream right. I can put up with posturing and carrying on because its fairly common.. but elite streams have zero substantial content unlike all the others who use the same presentation mode so its a bit creepy. Im not suggesting to turn them off, but perhaps educate instead of whatever the current ones are.

I still recon we only need one community manager.. dav stott. Isn't scared of people but has enough respect for us (or actually knows what hes talking about) to explain why when letting us down.

OMG!!! well I certainly wouldn't want to be rude.

I wouldn't want to be rude to someone who has taken my money, wasted my time and then gave me a turd sandwich for my trouble, would I?

After all, it's the polite person who sits quietly and patiently in a corner like a good boy and waits for his turn to be called and says "thank you" for the turd sandwich that gets results, right?

I think I'll keep the pitchfork and torch, thanks.

Doubt if the powerplay players see it that way.

Anyway.

Dav is one of the Major Server-Side Developers (If not THE server side Developer), Having him as a CM would be a waste of his talents and keeping the game running in the background.

It is being rude to everyone else as well who was interested in the topic and did not want it side tracked.
If a paying customer gives you some right, what about the other paying customers?

I only got into the bgs because of the mission board variability. This was a few years ago now.

Listening to an MC fill time is a waste of life. They should at least put on some better music. (That would be why i stopped watching them before you ask :))

Glad someone posted the Join Us... now I don't feel like I missed anything.

I pretty much never get to watch live streams, and after this thread and that topic... I think I made out all right.

the other paying customers should be standing behind me (or better yet in front of me) with pitchforks and torches asking why FDev just handed them a turd sandwich instead of of settling in for Story Time and trying to enjoy it with a glass of warm milk.
Tbf, you did pick your username.

Rumour has it that Letters and Petitions gain traction amongst the community. May I suggest going that route instead?

yeah so I know a thing or two about the subject.

I don’t think strongly worded letters and nonbinding resolutions solved anything.

"We?" There was a live-stream? 😴

Think I'll take a hot tubby with Dr. Bronner's hemp and peppermint soap.

Carry on.

What is the Live Stream I am hearing about, I am sure I have been told that FD do not communicate with the player base, not one word, not one letter ….

I hope you do know a thing or two about choosing your username.

Strongly worded letters and nonbinding resolutions appear to have resulted in an extremely fast-growing thread (97 pages in 3 days) along with direct & constructive communications between the participants & FDev.

That explains the dev silence on near anything of note, They're too busy talking with you.
Sweet! New Era 2020 does look fantastic btw!

I hope FDev listens to the recommendations and begins communicating more on bug fixes, brings back open betas, and implement a permanent beta test server though, it'd be awesome for everyone :)

The developers do a fantastic job and the hundreds of thousands of active players like myself will be more than happy to assist in beta bug hunting once again :D
