So now we are being blocked from asking questions on the live stream if it's not what FDev want to hear?

The stream was about a specific topic.
There were a few obnoxious whining whiners who tried to force their agenda through the throats of everybody present.
It was good they got efficiently removed.

This is not about the validity of their complaints.
This is about being mature enough to understand there is a time and place for everything.

A stream on robotic voice acting for their in game store? Really?

Was it a interview with voice actors on just how to make themselves more artificial? Or a talk about the audio editing process? Did they grab an intern 30 minutes before the stream and say "quick! Come up with an idea for something for the stream to be about" ?

There's a lot of voice acting in the game, apart from the COVAS.

Everyone know we're supposed to talk about bugs in a sealed room with a deep carpet. That way when we leave the room they can just sweep the complaints under the carpet and forget about them.

These are the dev's who came up with the block function ingame to remove anyone who you don't like to play with. Doesn't it stand to reason they would be into using ye old block feature themselves?

It seems like the real question would be why FDev thought it'd be a good idea to put out a stream like that right now.

As a rule, I think ED fans tend to have an above-average interest in, and respect for, the "behind the scenes" folks who work on ED and usually a stream like this would be positively received.
At the moment, however, there's really only one hot-topic of conversation and unfortunately it's not the voice-acting in ED.

And like the OP it wasn't what you wanted to hear.
I'm interested in any and all information I can get.
His rage quit is typical of peeps not getting their way when the topic is not what they want.

Corporations have more rights than any individual. That's why the UK is going to have a no deal BREXIT and nothing is really being done on climate change.

Also saying that there are appropriate avenues of communication is meaningless since its obvious that Fdev ignores us. Buy ARX indead.

You don't appear to have any clue what I want to hear.

The fact is, it's unrealistic to expect people to not to take an advantage of an opportunity to ask questions about problems such as those ED has recently encountered.

I understand that yesterday's stream involved third-parties who would have booked their appearances in advance so it would have been a shame to cancel them or try to reschedule but, in that case, a dev' who sought to avoid the appearance of indifference would have ensured that the issues had been addressed beforehand.

In short, it's been several weeks since this update's sh*t hit the fan and it wouldn't have killed them to stick somebody in front of a camera to talk about it.

A working game would be a better way to promote this game than any livestream.

The game should have been rolled back and a public beta test organized.

(…) and a public beta test organized.

Do you realise that a go-no-go decision on a planned update like this is made in the boardroom and not by developers or a (public) beta tester team? Their role is to advise.

Spamming chat is spamming chat. Don't do it or don't get upset about being muted. You make yourself look stupid by continuing your crusade and posting this on this forum.

To be fair at the people going "this is about COVAS and voice packs" uhh.. no one gives a flying crap about that. It's just more garbage Frontier wants to make you buy with Arx... I'd expect questions about fixing a game before asking about more microtransaction nonsense.
