I think the ship looks a little stupid. The prongs serve no real practical purpose except blocking our cockpit view with the guns in our view instead, while adding pointless length to the ship, which then limits available cargo space.

Guns on hauling ship usually bring CMDRs to commit fatal mistakes...

Did he? Searching for "combat", I only find stuff like:

"blaze your own trail" so there's a lot of players that don't engage with combat at all and we want to make sure that we're listening to you guys as well and providing content for you, and that is where the Type 8 is going to come in as a really good trade ship. Personally I'd interpret what he said as;

Nope, Type-10 is not a Fighter nor a Freighter, but it is still an F ship - namely a Failure

It's a miner, and a very good one. 5 hardpoints for mining tools and still 4 left for defense against NPC pirates. And it's perfect for players like me, who don't have the patience to fill 500+ t in a mining Cutter or T9. I also thoroughly enjoy flying it. lateral and vertical thrusters are very good, and speed isn't an issue when floating from rock to rock. And it looks like the refining factory it is.
