So, what are the exciting E3 announcements?

It's an AMD event and E:D is an Nvidia branded game. AMD spends craptons of time screaming conspiracy theories about nvidia screwing them.

well he was probably scared feces-less that some early backer forumites were going to bumrush the stage and tear out his innards for betraying them and releasing CGC on X-Box first. So he just wanted to get the hell out of there. Cant say I blame him.
I have to admit that thought crossed my mind, but 1 hr drive stopped me.

The future of Elite on PC is the same as Xbox, they arent going to suddenly fork the game in different directions giving each platform different content.

The big PC reveal is that the next update is likely the PvP module, what else are people expecting?

Guys - while I too was a bit disappointed about the lack of Elite-related new content being announced, it does make sense. All the stuff announced on this show was about major new upcoming releases. OK, the GW2 stuff was a major paid expansion, though everything else was pretty much about new games. Elite is now 6 months old, and has been publically discussed for years: it's not "new and exciting" to the broader PC gaming community - just a small subset of Elite players. So the lack of an Elite-related announcement is not really all that surprising - don't think it would have been massively excited to the show or audience more broadly. I doubt that David would have been invited to come on to just announce a paid or unpaid expansion. I say this with the full benefit of hindsight, of course.

Do they really think that planet coaster will out sell Elite?

Well they've received royalties for 10 million copies of RCT3 in the 11 years since it's been out so there's definitely a substantial market for it.

Bit disappointed we got absolutely nothing about Elite: Dangerous though.

What a waste of 3 minutes of premium advertising time.

What EDs moved 600k now? The coaster games have shifted millions, it's a much bigger franchise with a much broader appeal, it's probably going to be their flagship product.

Seem like a big blunder to me. The very least he could have shown off is some concept art or something to give us a taste of what coming next.

Let be honest this is a pretty poor PC show overall. Even Nintendo conference beats this, at least the puppets were entertaining even if the games were terrible.

I actually think it's by miles the best conference yet - with the exception of no Elite news - it's far more genuine and less showy.

I have this strange feeling smth was wrong.. alone the phrasing "but we have been working on this instead..."
Almost like he wanted to say more but bailed, Im thinking this because that doesn't sound like smth planned out and smart to say.

Either they can't show anything yet and he felt really torn in his skin there on the set, being annaunced as the "Elite-guy" or he is actually just a shy person and got cold feet.
In any case I feel bad for Braben for the screw up on this E3, on the other hand I can't deny that this really is unsettling and makes me lose some more hope for FD's competence.

And how much has Star Citizen made so far? I really am looking at moving over to them. I never really have looked to much at the website for SC. Wow it looks kewl and will from the start have everything ED is supposed to have when ever they at FD get around to doing it. I think SC will be done before ED ever gets its first Expansion pack.
