So.... what are you playing? Odyssey or Horizons?

Odyssey.

Finding planets that 'look bad' and planets that 'look good' has become a gripping metagame for me.
Also, I've compiled a list of planets/POIs seen on videos, screenshots or just mentioned in the forums that I want to visit myself. Just out of curiosity.
I like to keep a scientific attitude too, taking notes of bad planets without getting upset.

Except for Farseer Inc: Farseer Inc has turned into a big pile of s*** and makes me yell whenever I see it.

Oh, well...

Would you be willing to share that list of "look good" planets, by any chance? Asking for a friend :D

Bought Odyssey for planet tech. played for few hours, wish I had refunded, quit playing ED. Maybe this time I won't ever return and regretting purchase of odyssey.

Right now, I'm starting to play Odyssey more than I was, because I felt overall, Update 5 was a net step forward.

When it comes to the heavy space flight stuff (conflict zones, bounty hunting), I'm switching to Horizons because I prefer the lighting and silky smoothness.

Overall, post-Update 5, I'd say I'm 75% EDH, 25% EDO. I hope to eventually go 100% EDO as further updates follow.
Right now 100% Odyssey. Spaceflight performance isn't distinguishable from Horizons for me so there's no point, unless I want to visit anything Horizons specific, of which I can't think of anything at this moment.

I am done with Elite, jut lurking in forums any now and then but I believe it will take a loooooooong time to recover this.

Just reading glassdoor review you can tell their software is getting old and hard to work with. Plus they dont pay well and only seem to hire graduate (having x noobs touching an already old codebase is a receipe for disaster).

I am a dev and i can tell when your tool suck, there is no joy in making new stuff, just pain ... seems FDev just wants to suck our money out for very little value returned

Odyssey, not even loaded Horizons since Odyssey's launch.....I'd probably have to update the latest download, if I went back to Horizons.

Though Iv also installed & playing Space Engineer's again on my new laptop.....didn't transfer over any save files before resetting my old laptop, so playing it from scratch:D
I liked Space Engineers but was disappointed with there being no fluid mechanics in the game. I was hoping for a less janky Empyrion, and it is, but it's also janky in its own special way. Unfortunately my son did not like it so a large part of my motivation to play went with that. He's well into Dyson Sphere Program through. Worth checking out if you like that sort of thing.

Neither now. I considered Odyssey to be malware due to the adverse effects it had on my system so uninstalled it, and can’t find the motivation to play Horizons anymore. Just get bored quickly with it. Which wasn’t a problem I had before Odyssey. There are better space games out there I enjoy more honestly.

I can’t imagine any reason to boot up Horizons other than as a bug workaround.

I’ve been playing almost exclusively Odyssey content for some time, but I expect to do an exploration run shortly. Some objectives are Odyssey oriented - first footfall, plant scanning, see pretty atmospheric views - but when exploring, most of the time I’m flying my spaceship (which i have been informed on the forums has nothing to do with Odyssey).

After that, I expect to go back to my older playstyle for Elite - just decide each session which gameplay loop I want to do. E.g., if no good foot missions, go mining or space trucking.

Horizons, since i haven't bought Odyseey. Not playing much though, trying to get my carrier back to the bubble from Colonia, and probably take a break soon after,,

Both. Point Defense is broken in Odyssey in that they don't destroy hatchbreaker limpets which makes mining in hazres......interesting. So Horizons for mining, Odyssey for everything else.
