Only ever needed my Type-6E. Had the same ship for over four years now. She's taken me to BP and back...and we are now heading out to the Edge.
Mind you, she's had quite a few mods and upgrades. We are at 58LY jump range and many stripped down, low power modules.
Maybe not the most exciting ship, but definitely a winner at exploring.
