Sol Survivor - Your Evacuation Runner Ship

Recently I bought a T8 because I love the design and though it'll make a good Tritium runner for my carrier. Actually, I just wanted a reason to buy the ship...

Now I'm running refugees through Thargoid hell with it, evacuating Sol. :D

I heard people saying they ate a few rebuys doing that and lost passengers to those nasty insect abduction drones Thargoids shoot at you, so I thought it's a good idea to share the ships we use to GTFOing the people of Sol.

I did a few runs now, didn't lose a single soul and always got out with Hull at 99%.
I'm using a T8 with 160 economy seats, a 4A shield and some class 2 Guardian jump booster because why not...
Carrying 2 heatsink launcher, ECM to counter missiles and point defence.

Engineering:
FSD G5 to make it to the rescue ship in two jumps.
Kept lightweight armour but slapped G5 Heavy Duty on it and Deep Plating.
Thrusters are G5 clean drive tuning because I had them lying around... Dirty tuning might be better.

I didn't engineer shields because I thought the Thargoids will just ignore them anyway... They kept holding up surprisingly well though.
Here's the "build", with dirty tuning on thrusters applied and reinforced shields which I don't use so far:

Please share your GTFO ship so others might find inspiration and won't have to eat rebuys and lose people to the Thargoids.

I've been using the Mandalay. It's faster, way faster, and more maneuverable. I got bit a couple of times in my T8, and I returned to the Mandalay, which the Bugs have not yet caught.

My Evac Conda (reference build, put your own cabins setup), has everything to protect itself.
I prefer it over others because of the jump range (and no mail slot exit issues, looking at you, Beluga).
The only thing it lacks is ability to put Luxury cabins but you can still put a lot of First Class ones.

I did a half dozen runs with my Mandalay as well. I escaped all hyperdictions successfully with the exception of one, where regardless of my best efforts I lost 10 passengers.

And got a hefty fine for that (at least compared to the usual fines you get in the game). Fair, I suppose.

I just returned to the game after al long time and had to use what was avaiilable. I had a Evacuation Python build for burning stations. Its running quite cold, and after equipping it with AX Weapons, ECM and a Caustic Sink it is capable to handle 2 Scythes oder a Scyte and 4 Scouts on the way out of SOL. Gives a nice 4,5 to 9 Mio Cr. Bonus per flght. The build uses Clean Drives, a Low Emmission Powerplant and 4A Prismatics and offers Space for 138 Passengers: https://s.orbis.zone/qFCH

I'm running a Krait Phantom for the Sol Evac...can't fit as many passengers as some of the bigger ships but with a 585m/s boost I've yet to lose a single passenger. The only concession in the loadout for the 'goids' is fitting a heat sink.

I am using the faster of my Orcas which I had used before for evacuations when the war started, later it was made to run colder and used for collecting stuff in Titan debris fields.

So far it has been hit a few times by anti FSD weaponry and picked up some minor damage but it’s speed has kept it clear of worse trouble and I have almost remembered how to use the ECM.

No passengers lost no fines earned, so far.

It started out running rum & other booze for a CG hence the name referring to the Lamb’s Navy adverts.

As a relatively new player lacking the engineers/cred for the bigger better ships, I am running a fast and hot getaway Dolphin. Success rate is about 75%, but its cheap to buy and build out and has been exciting to say the least, earning me an average of 2.5 mil each run. I am open to feedback on the outfitting as I am still getting the hang of it. https://s.orbis.zone/qFCA
Since you now have the credits ;), you could put in 5A thrusters and a 4A SCO FSD. Switch to bi-weave shields and a 3A power plant would also be possible (neither of which will get you fast enough to escape from the faster Thargoids, though):

For that, you're going to have to convince Felicity to show some TLC for your thrusters. If you can get The Dweller to work on the distributor, even better.
Without power plant mods, you'll need to switch off the cargo hatch, fuel scoop, docking computer or super cruise assist (one of them might be sufficient, none of them is required for rescue flights in a Dolphin)

Welcome to the galaxy, CMDR!

Like @Ashnak said, you should definitely upgrade your FSD to 4A and your Power Plant to 4A or to 3A. As a rule of thumb, only use A-rated (most powerful) and D-rated (lightest) core modules. B- and C-rated core modules may have their uses in niche cases, but E-rated ones are frankly useless.

With a 4A FSD, you should reach a rescue ship without the need of fuel scooping. I haven't checked the numbers, though. But if you don't need to refuel, you could swap the fuel scoop for another passenger cabin.

It’s ridiculous that they fine you for losing passengers in an attack, even if you scoop them all back. It’s meaningless overall but just the principal behind it. Do you want people to just not bother rescuing instead? It makes no sense.

I just fly a cutter for the rescues and destroy the hunters that interdict me.

i always used a 100 passenger python because most systems would run out missions to quickly anyways and i would struggle to get it full each run, however sol is full of big ports and the rescue port is less that 60ly away so i built a 170 passenger anaconda( economy only ) with near 3k shield and 4 large ax multi, it easily shreds the beyblades or jumps out of a gank if you forgot to go in solo again :p
i don't bother with high class passengers, being faster beats the bit of extra credit that might make
im still busy getting allied with everybody in sol but still it a lot of money materials this way

EDIT: i figured out how to export builds from inara https://s.orbis.zone/qFJm

I've had 100% success at escaping the hyperdictions with a Cutter. 4x PDTs (specifically 2 on the bottom to cover the cargo hatch because I believe they work vs thimpets), 2x ECMs, 2x heatsinks. I am using a size 8 prismatic shield, but I'm not sure it's actually useful and may swap it for more seats.

486m/s perma-boost, gets to the rescue ship in 2 jumps. About 1 in 5 times, the bugs will manage to overtake me and lightning my shield off, but they don't seem to scratch the hull and are unable to mass lock me, and by rotating ECM pulses no missiles land and I get away cleanly.

Moved over 2000 refugees so far without a single lost passenger. Typical costs per run are about 40k hull repairs and 2k of PDT ammo, and the sheer capacity of the Cutter makes for a lot of rewards. The closest call I had was drunkenly slamming into the white dwarf that Cornwallis is orbiting because I accidentally turned off orbit lines 😸

That said, I might try something that can really properly outrun the bugs just for interest's sake.
