May I direct you to the Mobius Private Group? You can do everything as in Open ... even meet real people flying real ships ... the only difference is ... no one will shoot at you. If the do, they're ejected from the group and we don't have to deal with them any more.

Simple?

Go to your Friends and Groups menu and search for Mobius on your next login. Once you're accepted, every time after that, instead of choosing Open (aka. "Gankville"), choose Groups and then Mobius.

Oh, you mean CODE? Yeah, no one likes them for obvious reasons. They drive more people to the Mobius private group than anyone.

I play solely in OPEN, and to be honest, I find it offensive that you call it 'gankville' when that is not at all the case...

Maybe you have had a bad short experience at some point in time in open...

I have had times where I have been 'destroyed' by commanders, but that has only been at preordianed events, such as when crusade was blocking lave, or when The Code and Hutton Orbital Truckers held a community event in one of the BETA's... man that was a lot of fun for sure

I have had some wonderful experiences as well with other commanders at community goal events, and even have been pirated in an interesting fashion a couple of times...

But mostly I play PVE in open doing my own thing... I see and greet other commanders when I run into them etc... and often it's a friendly exchange... Yes I too have heard of the 'noob bashers' (for want of a better description) who hang out in the starting areas killing random new players... it's unfortunate but you will always get some people like that in any multiplayer game but I do feel on the whole, its a minority of the players in OPEN and seems to only exist around the starting systems and certain well known places...

I like The Code, have flown on their side as well as the 'truckers' side and had a ball... They are all, from my experience, decent folks mostly... so to say 'no one likes them' is again a false representation that perhaps you would like to redact...

I have friends who play in mobius, open and solo depending on their mood or whatever etc and all are valid ways to play the game, I have the utmost respect for what MOBIUS have achieved as a group... It's a pity some of their members however feel the need to 'advertise' in every single thread where someone complains about being killed in open, in such a way that suggests open in only for pain and is full of evil pker's etc which does truely misrepresent most of the players in open....

Perhaps a simple advertisement for mobius reading something along the lines of 'Sorry OP that you had a bad experience in Open, perhaps you should try our group Mobius. <insert link to group page here>'

and leaving out the snide dribble that is obviously your own biased misrepresentation of what open play is really like for the majority of us...
