I can assure you they also came with 452 Imperial Slaves in gargo hold to sell for 17.150Cr in Facece ... Not UA only related.
To find a few times last days in the forums. Some describe the NPC jump with them in next system.

My tactic if don't want to fight: full break as message occur and leave SC. Worked all the time before interdiction started.
It takes a few seconds until the NPC can follow to normal space. So you can go back in SC or better jump out the system.
If immediately jumping back to former system (target station should be reached ...) surprisingly the NPC is gone.
My current record is that the NPC has followed also until an Outpost and shoot all the time also as I landed and entered the hangar.
(ASP big shield at my side, no problem). He shoot happy further as i again started, boost and jumped out to next system.

This also happend from time to time with Federal/Imperial security NPC if have illegal goods (Trinkets of hidden fortune) in cargo without former scan from the NPC.

They they follow you in and out of supercruise attacking when ever they can.

They don't say drop your cargo, they just start attacking.

Ratking had this same problem and I think Red wizard did as well, so it has to be a programmed responce.

My question is why?

During my fight with the NPC that started attacking me, I think I have located a bug. I kw scanned him and it showed he was wanted, I jumped to supercruise and then back to normal space, he followed but his wanted tag had disapeared and he started shooting at me again, I shoot him first and I got a fine and a wanted tag for shooting a ship that didn't have the wanted tag on it.

It has to be a bug as I know he was wanted and he was chasing me in and out of supercruise.

If it is not a bug, then it needs looking at.

As a consequence of this possible bug, I lost the sap 8 (you will see why when you watch the twitch) but I managed to save the ua.

As for why my sound dropped on the twitch feed, I found the problem, for some reason, when you enter debug mode in game, the sound record / play option on the stream turns off, I turned it back on when I realised.

Here is my test -- Sap 8 core container and the UA.

Unfortunately this seems to be the result of a bug, HOWEVER, the intent was for FD to have some sort of story/npc interaction which sadly does not work with the bug. I had similar issues testing out some assassination missions with very inconsistent but persistent NPCs who would constantly attack much like you described and alter their status (and ship even) at each encounter. This lasted across a few systems until I dropped the mission once I got to the station.
Hopefully they will fix this and we can continue on.

I think that is intended. Whenever a new instance is initiated (into or out of SC) is the only time a Wanted status can be cleared. So you always need to reevaluate the target.

thanks for your effort, even if the result is not that good as hoped.

A question to the UA: do you still have two UAs available? If yes: i'm still hoping that someone is doing a little, very easy test with them.

You just need to release them in the same zone, about 1 km away from eachother, then start recording at the same time and listen if they do emit the same sound. Then one of you needs to jump to a neighbor-star-system and you start to record at the same time again, to see if the sound is still the same. Would help greatly to find patterns in the UA sound emitations or to rule out patterns.

For example: if both emit completly random sounds in both situations we can be relatively sure that the sound is no countdown or a code for a position. It leads more to the direction another poster gave earlier in this thread: that we need to find a sound source that emits similar sounds. But if they emit the same sound we know that it's either bound to the position(which will be checked by the second test) or to the current galactic time.

Could you please help us with that? :)

Will try that however need to have 2 combat ready ships to guard us as these attacks are annoying to stop since only destroying the ship or going into a no fire zone long enough will make them go away.

Just a crazy idea from a crazy. Throw one into a black hole or fly through one with it ? Al la 2001 ! 2 linked black hole make a worm hole I think ? maybe ? Volunteers please.

We already did the black hole thing......but just not throwing it into one......since.....well we would lose it and we only have 2 left....just thanks to Wishblend barely scooping up her's while under fire.

Has anyone tried jettisoning one and then flying around it using the thrust controls? I wonder if you could line it up to the place it points to and the sound changes?

The position that your looking at it from doesn't change the sound as I think we've accidently done that in the past.

Just a thing to say....the pirate was wanted when you got the fine but....you pre-maturely shot before fully scaning so you got the fine in anycase......I also think I know how the SAP 8 container got destroy as you were getting shot at from behind and one of those shots could have easily missed and hit the container but we go lucky that it didn't happen with the UA since SAP 8's we can still get but UA's..........not so much it seems....Anyway good on you for trying, though I would like an escort the next time this happens so someone can watch our backs and cover us. So anyone near the system where Wishblend was at can you please post that you can help us with ingame name and send me a friend request.

Sorry, not really.

But I offer what worked for me: start in system with capital ship in system but no civil war
FED: Blatrimpe
IMP: LTT 9810
Big convois are for sure there.
In direct surroundings of capital ship: don't try - "gold traps" all the time
What I can say is that the "Trinkets of hidden fortune" in cargo not increase the spawn rate for me (I hoped so).
Then try it there or follow "Hafnium" convois ant watch the system the enter. All takes a lot of time. I can be patient...

In the end the "spwan script" at the servers know the answer.
But we have in fact an unfinished artwork here. Lot of "approach" no "round" game.
I love it nevertheless and try to make what work currently.

Yes auto maintenance is staving of the inevitable.

I'm surprise we still haven't found out where these NPCs are taking them, they can't travel far so they must be come from and being taken to somewhere in human space.

Taking what you said, I know of two systems that the original ua where located.

My one was 109 viginus (name spelt wrong) search for 109 v

I flew to that system, targeted the sun before turning away from the sun.

I headed out around 1000 ls till the location identifier in the bottom left said deep space.

I then put speed at minimum at wait for strong signal sauces.

If there is a lot of chatter between the type 9 and the other ships, they have a ua on the type 9.

I can't remember where the other location was, but if you draw a line between them, is there anything interesting on that line?

No because of previous screenshots that showed the mission starting in a different place and said to go to another place which from what I've seen is diffferent. Also are you able to come online for a bit for some UA testing?

Not that a total false impression stay in mind for the reader:
The mission system rotate and the Elite/Founder missions don't stay at the bord each time.
But if the REP is high enough and they start to occour, then "in mass".
In fact bonus missions for easy money (SAP 8 is a legal good so far).
Low amount high payment.
No mission releted NPC pirate interdictions only a few "redirect NPC request" I always deny/not follow.

Founder/Elite mission now hard "nerfed". Not easy to reach any more for me.
Seems that only minor local faction spawn the missions currently since today. (No FED/IMP/AL, only Independent)
So as Frontier change massiv without any notice: All is only a screenshot and can change any time.

I also found one in 109 Virginis (correct name) but I was unable to obtain it from the T9... :(

I'm currently on an exploration trip, so I'm not being involved again with obtaining an UA until 7-8 days.
 
Well I spent all last night searching USS and SSS to no avail until I nearly fell asleep at the keyboard. Thats the first time I have ever logged off not in a station. Still again I got to see lots of weddings, funerals & large scary Fed patrols. No luck finding a UA though.

:s No pirates with gold? And I'm not liking how this is going.....as it sounds like no more UA's are existing.....

No I think they are still out there, remember it wasn't easy finding one in the first place, and when the reward was up I think quite a few people where looking.

I would doubt there are more than a 10? people seeking them right now.......could be even less, I'm one of them though and will be continuing tonight and over the weekend.
