Doesn't It Just Say New Games In This Part Of The Financial Report?
I'm pretty sure the top row says new content with a paid dlc confirmed for spring for planet zoo, very first box. The only things in this report for fy25 for after spring dlc releases, we only know the mentioned new games. The lack of any dlc mentioned for fy25 is where the concerns for support lie with, also the outsource_Iqa file has been just updated for jwe2 meaning future dlc is absolutely confirmed at least for spring.

to piggyback off this idea

taronga zoo:
  • australian sealion
  • cottontop tamarin
  • goodfellows tree kangaroo
  • short beaked echidna
  • greater bilby
  • southern hairy nosed wombat
  • fijian crested iguana
  • southern corroboree frog
I'm piggybacking too, TerraNatura Benidorm edition.
  • Bolivian squirrel monkey
  • Pink-backed pelican
  • Reeves muntjac
  • Northern helmeted curassow
  • Maguari stork
  • Central American agouti
  • Cotton-topped tamarin
  • Linnaeus' two-toed sloth (WE)

That would be an accessability nightmare. I can control my movements perfectly, but still struggle to draw a straight line with a mouse or an even curve. Now imagine someone with slight problems with calm and controlling movements, or someone who has trouble seeing perspective (as if we don't all struggle with that with building sometimes), or someone working with a touch pad even and reaching the stop of it...

Sorry, hard pass for me.
True I didnt think that hard about accessibility even though I struggle with them myself maybe adding a correcting feature the you could control the intensity of would be better but ultimately there are many problems with the current paths such as length locked segments, inability to easily make non square plazas, issues with terrain barrier and water navigation and the list goes on how the pathing system can be improved is the real question not whether it needs to be.
That's just demonstrably false and can easily be checked by going back to the financial documents of the previous years.

  1. They always announced that there would be more PDLC for the next FY when they had PDLCs planned for that entire year, and with the release timing of those financial documents always having been before the Spring DLC, they by default announced more than one DLC in advance.

For instance, the FY22 results were published in September 2021, which already announced PDLC in FY23. By the simple confirmation that there was going to be PDLC in FY23 that started in June 2022, two DLCs were already confirmed aka a Spring and a Summer DLC.
  2. We literally had a slide at the end of 2022 that said "PDLC throughout CY23", aka we knew we were going to get more than one DLC in 2023 because there simply is no way to give a single DLC throughout a full year.

Last year they already broke the cycle by not confirming anything for FY24 (FY24 ends in May this year btw). They confirmed a DLC for FY24 in the most recent report, and that's the first time the confirmation is for sure just 1 DLC. That's not something we had in the past, not at all.

I think it's quite important to go by correct information here. Whether you think Frontier is going to release more DLC after 31th of May is to everyone's interpretation, but we should keep by the information we have and the information we have directly contradicts what you've just said. There is a distinct and demonstrable change in their language in their financial reports, we shouldn't act like there isn't.

With the information we have atm there are two scenarios:

  1. Frontier has PDLC planned for the next FY but, for the first time, are explicitly vague about it and do not confirm it ahead of time.
  2. Frontier does not have PDLC planned for the next FY and therefor does not announce one.
Those are the two possible scenarios with the information at hand. The likeliness of each scenario is debatable, but not the scenarios itself.
ok my bad didnt realise they had done it in the past I have only heavily been following dlc trends for maybe a year and a half I do agree with your 2 scenarios im more leaning to the first one personally since frontier in general has been pretty vaugue about things.
I'm not convinced: Spectacled Caiman-> Cuban Crocodile, Wild Water Buffalo-> Lowland Anoa, Quokka-> Tree Kangaroo.
  • quokka was fine in my opinion being salty about the tree kangaroo doesnt change it from being an alright animal with a reasonable internet pressence.
  • The cuban crocodile would of been better than the caiman but they are both oddball picks one just alot harder to make and honestly the platypus was the oddball of wetlands.
  • Wild water buffalo was a weird pick but so would of the anoa especially since the lechwe was also in that pack

Just because something is an oddball doesnt mean its good some of them truly are just random choices. What I mean when I say oddballs are needed are things like saiga, the platypus and even the proboscis monkey animals that are odd not just their inclusion but the animal itself. They also need to have at least somewhat of a presence in pop culture but unrelated to zoos.
Things like the water buffalo and lechwe are not good choices for a packs oddballs because they dont feel odd they inclusion is odd but the animal themselves is not.

If a pack doesnt have a well made oddball you end up with a tropical or arid situation where all the animals are highly requested in some form but the pack feels flat because they are all basic zoo animals

For a pack to work well it needs at least one top 10 animal, a well placed oddball, a few highly requested basics and something unique.

Yeah, this is exactly what it all means. The slide is very explicit WRT there being one PDLC remaining for both Planet Zoo and JWE2. The outsource_lqa file being updated for JWE2 just further adds to the evidence for what we already knew.

The grey area is whether or not support extends into FY25. And, as was pretty articulately laid out by folks previously... Looks pretty unlikely from what we know.

I guess there is an outside change where they have something special up their sleeves (e.g., a bigger Planet Zoo expansion, dual PC/console support +PDLC) and they didn't want to spoil the surprise but I find that to be pretty unlikely because otherwise they could have just kept it vague for FY25 (e.g., "PDLC for existing and new games"). And it's not like spacing is an issue on that slide. It actually makes FY25 look very empty the way they've mapped it all out.

So even with a slight inhalation of copium, I'm at ~95% one last DLC with support ending and ~5% that there might be more coming beyond that.

I really would love the coati to be added!

My update wants:
1. Friendly interspecies interactions - maybe this could start with animals that share a rig having interspecies social animations?
2. Herding behaviour
3. Suckling mammals; baby animals carried on back for primates, anteaters, sloth bear; social grooming; increased frequency of social animations and pouch young

4. Flying birds.

Also more interactive educational displays and rectangular, modular exhibit boxes and walkthroughs. And playgrounds.

No problem at all, no worries! Incorrect information just easily gets spread in this community so always best to nip it in the bud before it goes and leads its own life again 😂

I don’t even know what to talk about anymore, I always like checking these forums, but there is only so many times I can say “I hope the final dlc has the birds and monkeys I have been waiting for”.

Not to mention, and I don’t want to be overly negative, I’m honestly a little worried I’m gonna be disappointed. I’m trying to keep my expectations low, but this is literally the last dlc.

Well, here’s something, if the final did were to include any aquatic animals which would you pick? You only have 5 slots to use though! Here is mine:

  1. West Indian manatee
  2. Green sea turtle
  3. Nurse Shark
  4. Cow nose ray
  5. Sand tiger shark
I'd make them all freshwater animals, because I think they would have greater usability with the other animals we have at the moment:
  1. West Indian manatee (interspecies bonus with capybara and arapaima)
  2. Arapaima (interspecies bonus with manatee, capybara and dwarf caiman)
  3. Mississippi paddlefish (interspecies bonus with beaver)
  4. Siberian sturgeon (no interspecies bonus)
  5. Asian arowana (interspecies bonus with proboscis monkey, water buffalo and water monitor)

Hey, I haven't had much interest in PZ for about two months now (the whole gift shop scare made me not touch the game and I'm still worried to open my save) and I've been focused on other games, Baldur's Gate 3 stole my heart lol.

Anyway, it seems like there is only one pack left??? Is there any community consensus on what it could be? Let's hope its a bumper pack for either Latin America or habitat birds... Hmm but that means no baboon... Ah damn it
😭
