Spring 2024 DLC Speculation

Just a general headsup (to everyone), the Spring DLC is always released in the week of Easter. This has been consistent for Planet Coaster and Planet Zoo.

So if we get a pack next year, we'll have to see something announced by the 19th of March, as Easter is the 31th of March.
Point taken. With that said, what are the odds we could get a back to back animal pack if we are going to get a DLC next year spring?

Because unlike saigas and Sumatran rhinos, you can't find any records of them in captivity mate. I mean even goliath frogs also have records in captivity.

Can you further elaborate that part here, please?
okay first point never being in captivity is a very different thing to doing horribly in captivity the ethiopia wolf has never been in captivity because ethiopia as a country have very strict export laws so any animal from there was either taken from neighbouring countries or already had a stable captive population at the time of the laws. This has nothing to do with the animals ability to actually live in captivity so shouldnt result in its immediate dismissal. The 2 animals you mentioned are interesting example of 2 different reasons as to why something is not in zoos saiga its because outside of their native ranges they get sick or hurt themselves alot so they are very difficult and not that ethical to keep outside of eastern europe so they arent. The sumatran rhino is specifically because it is so rare they dont want to jeopardise the population by taking even a single breeding pair because they arent certain that they will be able to make them breed. The sumatran rhino is an example of an animal that is fine to include in a zoo game because the reason its not kept in zoos has nothing to do with zoos themselves.

The titan beetle which is in the base game literally does not have its reproductive process or babies recorded by science.

also this is a game its allowed to be a bit unrealistic not everything has to be accurate we can have any zoo we want have panads even though china has strict laws on who can have them the kiwi a bird notorious for being hard to obtain and heavily protected by new zealand can be in any zoo you like. Real life politics shouldnt get in the way of the game.

very very unlikely I feel the reason they do it is because scenery packs tend last longer in terms of hype because an animal pack once you have used the animals a few times your done whereas a scenery pack you get those animal plus the ability to use the new scenery to visit older animals again. I also think its more unlikely now more than ever because the last 2 animal packs they did were met quite hostilely though people are warming up to eurasia now still have no idea why they didnt tease the swam in the stream.

Any problem with having swans in zoos? Or why need to be cross for having a bird as teaser?
My point was in the live stream where they hinted at the wolverine, takin/wisent, saiga and sloth bear one of those should of been the swan because prior to finding out the full roster people were so mad about the animals teased for a variety of reason on of the biggest being they werent birds. It would of been so much better in terms of controlling the outcry to include the swan in the stream so people wouldnt have been mad.

Sure, I mean if you wish cetaceans in Planet Zoo I can add Ethiopian wolves in the "random idea" I had.

And so, my friend, you are already being played/pranked by the dev team. Welcome to the community and better get used to it! :p😅

Yes it has, because:

is literally the only animal in the game not found in captivity.

Both animals are still found in captivity. The Ethiopian wolf is not.
the titan beetle proves they dont care / its not impossible

also you missed my point on pandas and kiwis it was more about how the game doesnt really involve itself in zoo politics nothing to do with how much they are kept in captivity just the reason why their distribution is the way that it is

Love the creativity! May I interest you the Victorian Crowned Pigeon for your Islands Pack idea?

Arid pack was Africa 2
Oceania was Australia 2
Eurasia is Europe 2 and Asia 2
(One could say that Arctic was North America 2, although the building pieces were European)

I have no doubts that we are going to have a South America 2 and I'm convinced it's going to be the next pack in spring. It might come in the form of a Patagonia pack / Central America pack / Amazonia Pack or something similar.

The wait for mid march will be so so long this year, let's hope that more content folders will be found with the update...

But let's be optimistic, I will go for a scenery pack with animals from the new world:

Theme: Native americas

Animals:
Rocky Mountains Elk or American Black Bear
Tamadua or Bush dog
Greater Rhea
Vancouver Island Marmot or Visacha
WE: Golden Lion tamarin

Tbh considering just how wrong most of us were with our predictions for the Winter pack this year, I think the Spring pack could be pretty much anything. Latin/Central America? The Americas in general? Temperate/North America? Alpine? Considering that the Eurasia Animal Pack was pretty unexpected (even though some of the species were commonly predicted) I think at this point the Spring pack could be literally anything.

I also think its more unlikely now more than ever because the last 2 animal packs they did were met quite hostilely though people are warming up to eurasia now still have no idea why they didnt tease the swam in the stream.
I think the easiest answer was that they wanted to surprise us with it the next day. And another reason could be they wanted to confuse us (Like they did a few times before. Especially with Wetlands Pack). Even when the Mute Swan also has an Asian range it is more combined to Europe. All the teased animals pointed to a Greater Asia direction.
