But the walrus isn’t boreal and is nowhere near forests …
That is perhaps a valid PointBut the walrus isn’t boreal and is nowhere near forests …
I get the walrus, but the sea otter and porcupine really aren’t “needed” in a NA sequel pack, people just want them because of how good the first porcupine is and because the otter is cute. The elk, ABB, as well as the Musk Ox have all been requested just as much if not more.I think you'd have to fit the walrus, sea otter, or North American porcupine (unique rig in place of the hare) in here for this to have any appeal.
For actual usefulness, the NA river otter is way more appealing but sea otter is so adorable so it wins out most of the time.I get the walrus, but the sea otter and porcupine really aren’t “needed” in a NA sequel pack, people just want them because of how good the first porcupine is and because the otter is cute. I would buy it for the musk ox and hare mostly although wapiti is one of my favorite deer as well.Well that’s unfortunate but this would be an amazing pack for me![]()
Walrus and sea otter belong in a costal pack together. None of them fit the Boreal theme. A coastal pack with walrus, sea otter and pelican would be awesome.I think you'd have to fit the walrus, sea otter, or North American porcupine (unique rig in place of the hare) in here for this to have any appeal.
The arboreal Walrus made me chuckle...But the walrus isn’t boreal and is nowhere near forests …
Sea otters live along the coastal Pacific Northwest, they obviously fit for a Northwest Pack with indigenous and log cabin scenery. Walruses are a bit of a stretch (only in northern Alaska).Walrus and sea otter belong in a costal pack together. None of them fit the Boreal theme. It's cute but it's so small that I don't think it would be a very impactful animal. I think the North American Porcupine would be better since at least with that species you have potential arboreal mechanics that would make it more interesting to build a habitat for.Who doesn't love a bunny come on

keep in mind we also have the meerkat an animal that is a very popular animal in game. Also the porcupine would probably come with buggy climbing behaviours. It's cute but it's so small that I don't think it would be a very impactful animal. The Meerkat is also a much more prevalent species in real life zoos and a more iconic species in general than the Snowshoe Hare, so that also makes a difference. Almost every arboreal animal has at least some buggy climbing behaviors (because it's hard to make climbing look good in general) but people still really like them, to the point where many people are demanding that we get more monkeys in the game. And btw, it's not like I hate the idea of adding the hare, I just think that the porcupine is the more interesting and recognizable animal. Given the choice, I would prefer to see it in the game instead of the hare.keep in mind we also have the meerkat an animal that is a very popular animal in game. How is a porcupine a more recognizable animal than a bunny? Even the arid pack didn’t put the African porcupine as the headliner and that is the most well known species of porcupine.I just think that the porcupine is the more interesting and recognizable animal.
Boreal just means "northern". The walrus fits the title. But the walrus isn’t boreal and is nowhere near forests …
I prefer the NA Porcupine instead of the Bunny. Sorry to say but m opinion. And the headliners are much overrated in my opinion. Especially since Grasslands Pack but also before (NA with the Beaver or Twilight with the Raccoon for example) had more or less two stars. And the most popular never was chosen as Headliner. How is a porcupine a more recognizable animal than a bunny? When I think of North American animals in specific (since that's what your pack is about), the North American Porcupine stands out much more and is much more unique than the Snowshoe Hare (which has many look-alikes). I guess the question of how recognizable an animal is would be completely subjective though and varies depending on who you ask, so in hindsight, "recognizable" probably isn't a good word to use in this context. How is a porcupine a more recognizable animal than a bunny? You know I support the pack idea with the Hare, but it could be a situation where some people don't really consider it a "zoo" animal. There's no denying that a rabbit is one of the most recognizable animals in the world, period, at least I don't think there's any denying it. But factoring in the more usual suspects housed in zoos, for some the mind just may automatically flip to the "wilder" animals. How is a porcupine a more recognizable animal than a bunny? I really Hope for a Summer animal Pack for Latin America. Whatever we could get instead of Latin America in Spring, I hope people are not claiming too much, as it clearly is worth an animal pack which potentially comes in Summer. You know I support the pack idea with the Hare, but it could be a situation where some people don't really consider it a "zoo" animal. Just a thought, anyways.
I saw some other pack ideas on youtube similar to the Boreal pack and while they were definitely interesting and thought provoking, I still like your lineup best. All that said though, I'd still much prefer something South/Latin/Central/American for the Spring pack. But I can't let myself focus on that idea too much, to the extent that I would be disappointed if it were anything but that (or the extremely "not happening" longshotbirbpack....not saying it's gonna happen but if I did I'd still be thrilled and glady let LA/CA/SA take a delay for it)
