Agreed. Although I will be sad over the tree roo, I can live without the tamandua.

I’m kind thinking for a Latin America animal pack:
- Black howler monkey / Golden lion tamarin (mascot)
- Utila spiny-tailed iguana (exhibit)
- Bush dog
- Greater rhea
- Patagonian mara
- Roseate spoonbill (or American flamingo if too difficult)
- Southern pudú
- Spectacled bear
As someone who knows next to nothing about primates: What differentiates them, in terms of game mechanics?
Spider and howler? Or spider/howler and sakis?
Is it? It can use the anteater rig, it would just need some climbing animations. Not that difficult imo.
Could this work as a Canada pack?
If we keep saying an India pack is possible, there's no reason why a Canada pack couldn't. Its the perfect lineup to represent the colder regions of North america.

Latter
White-faced saki are predominantly leapers. Instead of walking most of the time they are jumping from branch to branch. This isnt possible to recreate in the game, because climbing system is just one simple vertical climbing animation. While white-faced saki in theory could walk in-game just like that at the same time it would completely miss behaviour, which gave its name flying monkey based on their amazing leaps across canopy. Ya, i get it animals can jump from piece to piece, but its not quite that level.
On the other hand with introduction of brachiation and hanging animations there is everything needed to bring spider monkey into the game.

Regardless I'd be pretty disappointed if our Latin American Animal Pack included both it and the tapir at the expense of a rhea or mara.
I can see 2 monkeys happening especially if its an animal pack one will be a quick capuchin reskin and the other will be something new like a howler monkey but more than 2 seems unlikley.
people are generally only slightly less mad at the flamingo then the tiger and bear. The difference is mainly range the sumatran tigers range matches up in both foliage and continent to the bengal so in terms of gameplay experience they would feel identical. The eurasian brown bear its that people dont want more bears in general and if the do they dont want another subspecies which again is a big distinction between the flamingo and the other 2.
ah yes use a bird from the other side of the world as a substitution. Thats like saying the american bison is a wisent substitute or the malayan tapir can be used as a brazilian. To the people who actually care they can never be substitutes especially those who play actually using the ingame requirement system and would have to use non south american plants to decorate their "american" flamingo habitat.
To be clear im saying substituting in the sense of pretending the greater flamingo is the american doesnt work not im recreating a zoo and they have american flamingos so ill use greater flamingos instead. I do understand that the american and greater flamingos fill almost the same zoo use niches.

The difference between the wisent and bison is the same to me as the american and greater flamingos its all perspective based
I honestly think we are seeing a new animal pack pattern where the is 1 highly requested intensive rig the top metawishlist animal and the rest are all easy clones and remakes. Would make sense since we are getting to the point where they are running out of huge entire community agrees is necessary animals and also easy to make high impact animals.
