I will be extremely disappointed if they choose to end the game with a South America pack.
I think we have more reason to believe support will end than it being continued, but that's purely based on what happened with PC. But who knows, PZ is its own game.Does the console release really have to mean the end of the PDLC’s for planet zoo?
It seems like the undeniable truth, but I'm still holding out for the howler and the golden-lion tamarin.I'm calling it now, if its a south america pack we are getting one monkey.
ABB<Spectacled... Love everything else though!I’m really hoping for a finale pack with something like
. Wild Turkey
. ABB
. Black Howler
. Ocelot
. SA Coati
. Tanuki
. Pallas’ Cat
. Pere David’s Deer
. Hamadryas Baboon
. Short-beaked Echidna
. Tree Kangaroo
. Gray Crowned Crane
. WTE Macaws (Scarlet, Blue & Gold, Military, Hyacinth) Budgies, And maybe Hummingbirds
Would sell for like $20
Respectfully I have the exact opposite opinion, of any region I think South America deserved being the last.I will be extremely disappointed if they choose to end the game with a South America pack.
Give me macaws here and we have a deal.Wonder if the recent birds have anything to do with it...

They already got the big new rigs out of the way (kiwi, swan) in the last 2 packs, making it easier to make a pack like this, with only 2 new rigs (and WTE species). This imo would be the smartest decision they could make.
I dont think they are going to do a "just pick 2 wanted animals from each continent" because some regions have more needed species than others, for example, people want SA animals way more like 5+ rather than Oceania animals where they only want like 1 or 2. Birds on the other hand are so behind that there are so many species everywhere that people want.
Mmm no but there is speculation that PZ might get a console release and that the dev team will be reasigned to new upcoming projects and there is not confirmation of more DLCs past April so a lot of people are assuming next pack might be the last. Why is everyone talking about the final package?
Has the end of the game been confirmed?
I mean, people do want birds but I feel like this pack would be largely viewed as Frontier not understanding the assignment. People don't just want "birds." They want flighted birds, aviaries, etc. I can see the unfortunate cries of ducks and pelicans just being "swan clones" and "another penguin and no parrot."Wonder if the recent birds have anything to do with it...

I don't know that a "pick 2 from each continent" would really be a problem, though. Secretary bird for Africa, tree kangaroo for Oceania, 3 species from Latin America (coati, ocelot, howler monkey), 1 NA species, and 1 additional species from Africa or Asia (baboon or monkey). With a bird as a WTE. I honestly feel like that might go over better than an all-birds pack. And it would help with LA representation while still being able to work in other highly-wanted species.I dont think they are going to do a "just pick 2 wanted animals from each continent" because some regions have more needed species than others, for example, people want SA animals way more like 5+ rather than Oceania animals where they only want like 1 or 2. no matter what they put in the big box, nothing will make it appealing to me.I think they'd need a few more WTE species for a certain segment of the fanbase to really get behind it.
Thats a lot of work though for frontier though, Coati, Howler, Baboon, WTE bird and Tree Roo would all probably need a decent chunk of work, whereas with the bird pack a lot of the rigs are already supplied and hold great potential.Secretary bird for Africa, tree kangaroo for Oceania, 3 species from Latin America (coati, ocelot, howler monkey), NA species, and 1 additional species from Africa or Asia (baboon or monkey). I don't think anyone would say this, from what I've seen people want Pelicans and ducks even more now that we actually have the rig. Like I said a lot of the bird rigs we have now have potential to be popular species and also not cause frontier a lot of time to make. Grey Crowned Crane is #9 on the meta, the rig is already there. Pelican and duck are probably the most wanted land birds at the moment which would also be clones.I can see the unfortunate cries of ducks and pelicans just being "swan clones"
I agree I think we could get these, but these feel like a thing where people will see it and be like "Wait so you can make birds, then give us _____ and __________ and so on. Hummingbirds and budgies while still birds aren't anything ground breaking compared to something like an eagle, macaw or toucan.and having the WTE be a macaw or toucan.
I would cry if this was the final dlc (in a good way this time)Wonder if the recent birds have anything to do with it...

Is it, though? They have rigs for each of those species they could use as very solid starting points. As well as animations (which we know they can generate fairly quickly anyway based on what we know about their processes). For me, the birds would probably require a lot more detail, unique animations, etc. to really get right compared to most of the mammals in play. Any efficiency you gain from the flamingo would go out the window with the pelican, the added number of species, etc.Thats a lot of work though for frontier though, Coati, Howler, Baboon, WTE bird and Tree Roo would all probably need a decent chunk of work, whereas with the bird pack a lot of the rigs are already supplied and hold great potential.
I think a lot of people would say it. Not the core group on the forums. But elsewhere it would almost definitely come up. The pelican and duck might be the saving grace but I can see all of the "missed opportunity" posts in my head from it still.I don't think anyone would say this, from what I've seen people want Pelicans and ducks even more now that we actually have the rig. This is kinda the point I was making above about birds in general. With any flighted birds you're going to get that. Whether it's hummingbirds, budgies, parrots, eagles, whatever. It's going to come up. Because, at least as far as I can tell, for a lot of people the driver isn't "we want birds because they have beaks and feathers" it's "we want birds because they fly and can be kept in multi-species aviaries."I agree I think we could get these, but these feel like a thing where people will see it and be like "Wait so you can make birds, then give us _____ and __________ and so on. Hummingbirds and budgies while still birds aren't anything ground breaking compared to something like an eagle, macaw or toucan.
The overall point of my idea was to end with the majority of the community feeling good about the end of support and that this was a good ending, so in other words, "find any possible way to not give a cliffhanger or to not give people hope because this is the end but we're not gonna tell them" - frontier
