To separate pc and console updates for when pc stops getting updates?

Honestly, Frontier has done this in the past multiple times already. Even tomorrow's steam announcement didn't include the Planet Zoo Console version yet because it wasn't announced yet. I genuinely don't understand why people are panicking over this
I've said it before in other places, but we shouldn't count on any form of TMTK support at this point in time.
After billboards were introduced, there was a yearly roundup stream in which one of the devs was interviewed who talked about how the game was different and that billboards had to be implemented from the ground up. This kinda confirms that the current engine was built on top of an older version of the PlanCo engine, one that doesn't have TMTK support.
Now for PlanCo, there was no active modding community, so the investment to include mod support was a good way to prolong the game's lifespan and get additional revenue afterwards. It was a smart move to invest in that.
This time around, Frontier isn't doing well financially and they're currently laying off technical staff as well (including one of PZ's animators so most likely more of the team has been hit). So every investment is going to be analysed and looking at it, a mod support isn't a necessary investment anymore as there already is an active modding community that will prolong the game. So basically there's not as strong of a need for them to put in resources for a TMTK as when it was with PlanCo, so it might very well be in their best financial interest to let it be.
I think the main reason people panicking is after the 17th, there could be no more dlcs and that's what drove some of them mad, including a few of my friends tooI genuinely don't understand why people are panicking over this
PS: Still Frontiers didn't say that all folks and toodles so who knows. Maybe they'll gain back budget to hire back animators to put up some multiplatform dlcs.
I wouldn't count on it, any profit from the console editions should be directed to the new upcoming games.
I figured that part myself. I mean with different data with different updates in effect, it'd crash if it was in the same server of animal market.

After 2 months, I'm back. There seems to be big news today. Can anyone tell me what happened? We won’t get any more new DLC?

So it’s a mix of paranoia and some other emotions. The simple answer is we might get one more new dlc, a recent financial report suggested only one more paid dlc for the fiscal year. Normally Frontier releases one larger pack for the end of support, but a lot of people (including me) are starting to wonder if the paid dlc mentioned was only the ones being transferred to console.
We are getting console, we are most likely getting one last dlc. Frontier is secretive so we won’t know until we know. Also welcome back btw, I was wondering where you went,
