Spring 2024 DLC Speculation

While talking about birds another one that I think gets under appreciated because of its more bright subspecies, the African Sacred Ibis would be a cool add in for African tropical houses.

Some other cool alternatives for African ibis in tropical houses are also:

  1. Hadada ibis

  2. Madagascan crested ibis

I made a whole post/ thread about it, but if Frontier could grant me some birds for an African tropical house and South American tropical house I would actually jump for joy.

Honestly if Frontier could grant us these three birds:
  1. Scarlet Ibis
  2. White faced whistling duck
  3. African sacred ibis (gonna steal from ya for a second @CharlieXGaming )
I could have two species for both SA and Africa, I would be so happy. I WOULD BE SO HAPPY. Get a new waterfowl, get a new bird group, finally have birds to do my indoor tropical buildings. I. WOULD. BE. SO. HAPPY.

I even want these guys more than a bird rep for NA, that’s how serious I am. Tropical houses are so popular in zoos, I just need a handful of extra little dudes to feel complete.

Usually the depots are different for each game, internal_01 is most likely exclusive to planet zoo so no helpful pointers.
Ah, that explains it! Thank you. It's just been bugging me... I swear somebody at one point (within the last few months) had said it was a version used for testing, taking screenshots, etc.

But I couldn't find it anywhere. Now thinking about it though - that's because it was in a YouTube video! BestInSlot. And it was for JWE2. They mentioned that External8 for that game is the version that typically gets updated just before a new copy going out to content creators, journalists, etc.

So yeah definitely not the same thing. But I do recall internal_01 getting updated close(ish; within ~2 weeks) to announcement last time around so. We'll see!

If being blacklisted in EU or horribly invasive species without conservation value was relevant factor we wouldnt see wild boar or american bullfrog.
Therefore sacred ibis is legit candidate for a game with conservation in mind.
I mostly just brought it up jokingly, im personally not a big fan of the blacklist as most animals on their have a "negative impact on the populations of birds and small mammals", meanwhile cats are perfectly legal to leave running around and massacre those exact animals.
Im not saying regulating potentially invasive species is a bad thing, but the fact that cats are completly unregulated is just hyprocritical

Studying for vet med, feral cats and their impact on local wildlife might be one of the biggest axes I have ever had to grind. Yes it’s good people trap and spay/ neuter feral cats, but releasing them back into the wild is the issue I have. Yeah we stopped future generations of cats, but for the next decade this cat will hunt things into extinction. Cats don’t just hunt when they are hungry, they will hunt simply because they can.

I had a dream last night
We were watching a new trailer for the console and we suddenly took note at some of the animals bunched in with other animals were actually some we don’t have in game.
We started pausing the trailer to catch a glimpse at these animals.

Well now I need to check, just in case

I love the colors of Egyptian Goose. It's also pretty well distributed in captivity. But of course if not Egyptian I could never say no to Canadian Goose.

The Egyptian goose are at my local zoo! They are really pretty. They also have the Cape Barren Goose, which i love.

As for geese:
Man there are so many that would make great additions, so sad we will mostlikely not get even one before the end.
Nene, Bar Headed and Egyptian are all pretty distinct in terms of looks, range and biomes, and could be put to great use in pretty much every zoo. These are definetly my favored options
Canadian and Cape Barren are also great and i wouldnt complain about them either
