Spring 2024 DLC Speculation

What's your top Mammal pick for each continent? (including Antarctica if you want)

What's your top Habitat Bird pick for each continent? (my personal rule of thumb is: Birds that would have a decent quality of life if their wings were amputated/clipped)

What's your top Exhibit Animal pick for each continent?
Mammals
Asia: Sumatran Tiger.
South America: Andean Bear.
Europe: Chamois.
Africa: Honey Badger.
Oceania: Leopard Seal.
North America: West Indian Manatee.

Birds
Asia: Bali Myna.
South America: Glaucous Macaw.
Europe: Eurasian Eagle Owl.
Africa: Shoebill.
Oceania: Mallard.
North America: Common Raven.

Exhibit
Asia: Cobalt Blue Tarantula.
South America: Emerald Tree Boa.
Africa: Black Mamba.
Oceania: Brown Rat.
North America: Blue Racer Snake.
Europe: Carpathian Blue Slug.
Again, don't really care one way or the other, but it's probably more important to the roster than the Australasian fur seal or the extinct thylacine, which are my other choices.
I respect your opinion but why an extinct animal?

It's the only extinct animal I would actually accept in the game, and there aren't any other Oceanian mammals I give a damn about in the context of the game's roster.

I don't especially want an extinct animal in the game, but in saying that I don't especially want Oceania to be revisited unless they give me my tuatara. I think the Oceanian roster is good enough as it is for my purposes, excepting the tuatara. So when left with the question, "What Oceanian animals would actually excite me?" the answer is a fur seal only kept in captivity in Auckland Zoo (which takes rescues) or an animal that was unfairly persecuted to the point of extinction (so I can fantasise about bringing it back to life).

IMO there's no way they could do the thylacine justice anyway. I don't believe any record of its sounds exists anymore. They could probably fudge it/fictionalise it or something but that isn't their style (I mean, they'd never include extinct animals anyway, so it's a moot point).

True, true, I do agree that they're typically only in aviaries. However, the same could apply to clouded leopards, jaguars, and pumas; these cats are well known for the climbing skills, and I've yet to see an enclosure for these guys that isn't covered by some sort of netting or mesh.

Pretty sure the pumas in Pairi daiza are kept in an open air enclosure. If the enclosure is properly designed there is no need for mesh.

Mammals
Asia: Grey langur
South America: South American Coati
Europe: Pallas Cat
Africa: Hamadryas baboon (or Gelada)
Oceania: Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroo
North America: Manatee

Birds
Asia: Golden pheasant
South America: Roseate spoonbill
Europe: Puffin
Africa: Helmeted guinea fowl
Oceania: Victoria crowned pigeon
North America: Brown pelican

Walkthrough Exhibit
Asia: Great hornbill
South America: Toco toucan
Africa: Superb starling
Oceania: Kookaburra
North America: Bald eagle
Europe: Barn owl

Please Frontier, I would like some birds.

Hey, you learn something new everyday. I would've never expected that, honestly
That’s the puma exibit in Pari Daiza

But my favorite open exibit for cats is snow leopard in Doue-la-Fontaine France

Wait has this always been the case? Or is this a part of some sort of "silent update"? You know trying things out before khm, khm 👀

It’s funny we were talking about interspecies interactions yesterday and now this is found lol, the Orangutan and Otters seem to have an interaction with eachother. And before anyone asks it’s not just a coincidence, others have also seen this.
I'm sorry, I'm choosing to believe it is a coincidence. It doesn't really look like an interaction at all. It looks like two separate standard movements that happen to have coincided.

The guy that made the post said it saw it repeat three times. Once might be a coincidence, happening three times points more to something intentionally coded that way.

Only way to know is to try it ourselves in our own games. If i have the time i would try to check it out.

I'd be inclined to agree, but the hitboxes would typically prevent animals from clipping like that. Plus, when the otter goes under, the orangutan lifts its arms for it to pass through.

The fact that it's not glitching implies it's in the game

Sorry no three times, a few times he said.
