Missions voted on by the squadron that can award very large credit rewards, usually requiring a two small groups of players to face off (pvp or pve) with a rival NPC faction or rival squadron. Rewards are split between members with highest contributing members getting more credits. Should be very endgame.
Ideas:
A fortified planetary base that needs to be taken using a strategic assault using ships and ground troops. The base is guarded by NPCs and players using anti-air turrets and can only be taken with strategic planning using ships to clear a path and letting ground players invade the base. The base will be filled to the brim with many, many canisters of valuable cargo (think painite, VO, LTDS, etc.) and the players are allowed the cargo if they can get in the base. (~8v8 on land and air with some npcs helping.)
Defence: The player is given a date on which enemy ships and ground players are going to arrive onto a planetary base. The player is tasked with making a fleet and setting up defences to repel the invasion and a ground crew/defence force to defend a base. Credits are awarded if the base is not ransacked after a certain time. (opposite of other mode.)
