I'm a little bit worried about the exp pass and the "lever of success". This is the quote :
"We have regularly said that depending on the level of success of Elite: Dangerous we intend to continue expanding it with new content and new features."
I firmly believe that elite is capable of selling 1 million copies during the first month after the final release and surely will be a huge success at the level of a AAA title and never seen before for a space sim, but I've a little fear about the planetary landing which is my main favourite feature. Probably is just a paranoia
They have not specified the order of development for the major updates. But I believe that David said that the planetary landings will concern in first, the asteroids and the moons. The rocky surfaces in fact. The planetary landings on detailed landscapes come later. I think we do not have to worry about. ED will be a success. And then there will be the MAC version and the dévelopment on console. Many of sales in perspective and thus the major updates assured.

Ah that, while I am tempted I decided to give them more money later by paying for the DLC there and then.
Plus easier for me to pay in bits than a "big" lump sum, heh.

The planetary landings on detailed and varied surfaces will be a very big development. They will start by the asteroids and the rocky moons. This does not prevent the presence of secret bases, to photograph and to bomb. And mining on the rocky moons

I'll learn to fly first, just wish I could practise landings in a scenario instead of risking other people too.
